Re: Integrated drawer system dwr frnt holes missing
No, the drawer box doesn't really matter, I'd check your values for the front holes. Drawer box editor>set default box>set slide pattern>apply to cabinet>add drawer w/ box. If that doesn't work it's the pattern. There's a tutorial in the help file, you can check out one of my patterns, works well fo...

Re: Integrated drawer system dwr frnt holes missing
You have to add drawer fronts w/ drawer boxes and apply the slide hole pattern in the door/drawer editor, not the drawer box editor.

Re: Export to Excel problem
Exporting and opening with Excel starter works fine for me, check and see what program is default for excel files. Try save instead of open. There doesn't seem to be anything special about the file so you could prob. use Open Office if you wanted to.

Re: Cabinets leaving a blue trail
I've had this problem before, you may have to change acceleration settings to allow the program to decide the settings. Worked for me anyhow, didn't have to update any drivers. It could just be the video card too. Sometimes you have to adjust settings to change depending on what program you're runni...

Re: DXFs and polylines
Hard to say without looking at the file. Maybe look at this thread http://www.cnczone.com/forums/autodesk_software_autocad_inventor_etc/57285-converting_splines_arcs.html and read the post by Ger21. I've never used Autocad 2003 so not sure what methods would work in converting a spline to arcs for t...

Re: DXF files with flip ops
There is no z value in the layer name, see screenshot. Sometimes I have a problem where layer names that are too long get truncated and values are dropped off the end of the name. To counter this I remove spaces and any unnecessary zeros before decimal point "P". I don't think that 's the ...

Re: how do you bypass "unstable cabinet"
I think you would have to design it as an assembly of two cabinets.

Re: Grouping Cabinet parts
I think this is one of those times where you'd have to manually nest one part at a time to get it to come out right. Nest a part, cut and then nest the next part into the off-fall. I wouldn't want to do a lot of parts this way, but a few cabinets wouldn't be that big of a deal.

Re: Hey, you know what would be cool?
I think you can add a sheet with a void to accomplish the first idea. Not sure how you would go about the second idea on the controller other than tweaking the settings until it comes out close enough.

Re: Cutting Solution
I just cut the cab parts as over-sized and do the mitering on the table saw. If something really needs to be miter-folded I design it in Autocad in 2-d and use centerline for the miter paths. Though, I think you should be able to profile model this in ecabs using a 45 degree, just have to have a rea...

Re: Leaving skin along edge during outline
I'd try and Increase your cut through depth. It's prob just not quite deep enough to cut through, but when you cut the adjacent part the tool paths overlap and overlapped areas get cut again, the skin left is being cut by the next parts path except on the edge where there are no adjacent parts. Coul...
