Brian Thanks. I didn't do the soapstone. Believe it or not, all the soapstone was done by Home Depot. There's a huge amount of it in this house and they were considerably cheaper. I havn't heard how much it costs, but I'm sure you could mill it. You can cut it with a saw, shape it with a handheld ro...

Mike Bowers I stopped by this job today and snapped a couple pics of the treated soapstone. Pics are kinda lously due to the back light but you can get the idea of how different the treated soapstone looks. the backsplash has had a number of treatments ( i don't know how many), but as you can see, i...

This is my first experience with it also. I can tell you for sure that the oil turns it black. My owner bought his backsplash, above his stove, from a guy who did some inlay work in the soapstone. The material they used has already been treated with min oil, for a while, and it is very black. I hope...

Mike The tops are all soapstone, kitchen, baths, bars...everywhere. Owner loves the stuff. It is beautiful in it's natural state, but it is very soft and porus. It sands and cuts about like wood. It's not widely used here in north central Ga. What I don't like about it is that it has to be treated w...

Software installation

I need to load eCabs on another computer. The latest disk I can find is V5. I can't remember if there is a V5.1 disk, or do I just load V5 and then download the upgrades.

Thanks

Mahogany wet bar. Owner wanted frige and icemaker completely hidden so I made large panel doors to hide the appliances. The space behind the bar is storage so we cut the wall out for good airflow around the appliances.

Arts and crafts

These pics are from a job I did this past spring. The house is still under construction as you can see, but i had to go to there yesterday so I took a few pics. This is an arts and crafts home in the style of Greene and Greene. Another company did the kitchen, I did all the baths, sauna, bars, bookc...

Floyd....Wally's right. For example, take a top 24x72 to the PE. Select circle and enter 12,36 for your center then enter 8 for your radius. Then enter 12,35 for your center and 8 radius, enter 12,37 center and 8 radius. You've now drawn 3 circles with an 8\" radius and shifted the center 1\&qu...

I just noticed that the overhead shot was taken before we changed the frige cabinet. Owner added a steamer oven above a mocrowave drawer.

A little different

This is my latest design. I gave up trying to add all of the appliances because I've had so much trouble saving the design. I guess I have too many display cubes in this one. I keep running out of memory, or the system shuts down when I try to save. However, I got enough of it complete to sell the j...
