Re: <removed by admin>
I don't think I can count all the angry postings we've had over the years about customers stealing our drawings and having the work done by someone else. We all seem to agree on that. So why are folks thinking there is an exception when it comes to software? If you think what you design takes a lot ...

I always have to recognize courage when I see it in action.
Posting that pix was a great example.

Re: how can you protect your drawing
" what is your budget for this project " ? You know, I never felt comfortable with this question because it usually prompts the customer to lie and never reveal how much he is willing to spend. I know I wouldn't ever reveal this to a contractor, neither would you. My approach is to deliver...

Re: how can you protect your drawing
I guess I will jump in here and support those who have decided not to give out drawings. In my case, I never do drawings unless I have a down payment. My approach is to show the customer-prospect (at his home) my eCab rendering of my design on my laptop. I advise them that I am willing to come back ...

Re: A New Direction
Ken,
Am I understanding that your new module is an add-on to the existing eCab software, so that those of use who are still a wholly manual, small shop can still use eCab with its nesting features and cut lists ouputs?

]HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Let's not pass up a chance to thank Thermwood for being a great made-in-the-USA Manufacturer! In this economy, that is a biggie for me!
Best wishes for another 40!

Re: The Future of eCabinet Systems
Kirt, I think mostly, you have done well to frame the issues. There is no escaping the march of MS to improve/modify/screw up their product at will. The demand of keeping thousands of folks employed literally forces MS to constantly search for ways to come out with new versions. Otherwise, they go o...

Re: msater control room
Darren, Nice job and project. Having built control rooms before, I find the biggest item that goes untended is heat shedding. It seems the engineers never really total up the whole heat load and calculate cooling demands. There will be loads and loads of heat to move out of the cabinet and it will b...

Joe, I believe some photos and images will not load properly unless the pixel dimension sizes can be divisible by four (if I recall correctly). Try re-sizing.

Jason,
Am I correct in assuming installation of the updates resets the expiration date? If that is the case, that reason alone should encourage immediate updates.
When is the next magazine coming out? Did I miss one? Will it be printed or only digital?

Re: Closet
George, Very nice work in eCabs for this closet, especially the curved shelving. Nice. The customer can see exactly what he gets. However, I was able to see it by accident. This forum section is for 3D images of items we might like to place in our room layouts such as plasma TV's etc. The place for ...

ken,
I am one of those users who doesn't have a CNC, being a small, custom, one man shop. However, the addition of the assembly marks is nothing short of brilliant for the CNC users, and should be recognized as a major aid to fast assembly. Bravo!
