Re: Presentation Mode Showing ONLY Walls and Shadows No Cabinets

John,
Everytime I screw up on eCab it is always something simple, like not having the num lock on. DUH>
In this case, have you somehow inadvertently set the "Hide/Show" setting to hide the lights AND the cabinets?

Re: Dell laptop?

Forrest,
The big item is always going to be the Video card. I don't think that one will perform well with the demands of eCab.
Get some other opinions as well, but I recommend: don't scimp on the video card and RAM.

Re: The Times They are A Changin'

Kerry,
Great job on this. It is nice to see the finished project.
One thing, none of the cupboards seem to be large enough to hold the kids, and none have locks on the outside. Seems like a good idea to add <g>

OT Advertising Deals

With the ecomony on its ass, many of us are planning on increasing advertising, mailings, etc. I have used an online Printing House that has done really excellent four color work for me at amazing prices with prompt delivery. I just got an e-mail that they are now offering even lower prices. At thes...

Here's a pix taken this morning at our house in the California desert.
Now heading to the table and keeping the walker handy.

Iain,
Do a search on "flutes" or "fluting" on this site (upper right top of page) and you will find numerous postings with some comprehensive suggestions on how to do them.

Re: eCabinet Systems, the economy, reality and change

Ken, Many thanks for the update and info. All of us are grateful for the help you have given that has helped us all succeed. Many (or most?) of us could not afford to buy a cabinet software package and deeply value the resource. You have correctly identified a large segment of the cabinet-makers mar...

Re: I have designer block

Gary,
This may be an extreme example, and does not include doors to hide the TV but it may jog something.
http://peterwalshbookcases.com/cherryentertainment.htm My web site also includes a "before" pix.
I hope this helps.

Re: Finishing a cabinet

Gary, I do all mine with the backs on. Since I build Libraries, some of my cabs are very tall. The back is an essential part of the cabinet structure (considering the weight of a fully-loaded bookcase) and I make sure it is glued and fastened firmly. A finish on the back would compromise the kind of...

Re: How to create an over the sink / window valance?

Derek, I do mine in the Part Editor using a display board. Once you get the hang of it, it goes quickly. Unfortunately the Part Editor is one of those things you will need to spend some time on. When you open eCab, you will see in the bottom of the list that pops up, a link to Video Tutorials. These...

Re: OT Molding search

Thanks to all for your help. The tip to check Walzcraft panned out with the best price. The highest price was from Enkeboll around $8. Walzcraft was $3.15. Trim is ordered. I knew of Walzcraft as being a cabinet door maker (which they are) but I discover (as a result of postings here) that they have...

Re: OT Molding search

Hey Dan, How are you doin'? Are things getting any better for you? Thanks for the tip on that trim. It won't fit in the trim slot milled for it (too wide) and I am trying to avoid ripping trim that small (I like all my fingers). But it is nice to know that it is available and I appreciate you taking...
