Profile modeler inconsistent toolpath

Playing around with using profile modeler to miter edges, and we're getting different results using the same profile on different edges of the same part. 1.JPG The part is an end panel with a toekick cut in it, and we are mitering the front edge of the end panel and the toekick cutout. The front edg...

Re: Do you cut beveled edges?

Kerry, just curious: How does this respond to changing material thickness when writing the TWD? Seems like it would only work if you don't change the thickness.

Re: Blank screen on supercontroller

You've pretty much tried everything I would have suggested. We have a CS41 as well, and every once in a while it goes thru spells of blank screens, random crashes, etc., and usually reseating all the cards and plugs on the motherboard clears it up. I'd think the computer would boot up even if the Si...

Re: cainet not showing in LDE

Associate the cabinet to the same wall that has the other cabinets, not the angled wall. When you do an elevation view, it only shows cabinets for a single wall. Any attached walls won't show.

Here's a picture of him (on the right) and I when he came to visit the states a few years back.
RIP Neville, it was a pleasure knowing you.

Re: Error Profile tool plunge depth greater than tool height (FIXED)

Glad you got it figured out. With cutters like that (ballnose, MDF door, anything pointy or odd shaped) we keep them chucked in tool holders and never remove them. Measure them, adjust the daylight manually until it's perfect, then never remove it from the holder.

Re: Error Profile tool plunge depth greater than tool height (FIXED)

Mark, have you tried putting another bit in place of the ballnose? Don't tell the machine... just put a flat end bit in there and measure it as if it were the ballnose, then try it.

Wow... we joined at around the same time. Don't have the original email, but still have the original CD ROM, the one with the video of Ken introducing and demonstrating eCabs.

Clint: Label request

Hey Clint, me here to bother you about labels again. The last one you made with the red sorting numbers has been awesome. Just today I was thinking of one more thing that would make them perfect: Could there be a colored square unique to the job to identify at a distance which job a part goes to? Wh...

Re: backpocket not cutting

I'd start by specifying a tool / tool diameter. Since Thermwood introduced the ability to call a tool by name instead of diameter, that's how we've done it. For instance: the old way: pocket d9p5 z8p0 the new way: pocket z8p0 [3185] Either way, a tool is specified. Your code isn't specifying one, so...

Re: Tenon issue

We definitely had an issue that caused the same result, and it turned out that the bolts holding the Z-axis guide rails to the mounting plate had come loose, and the head was wandering because of it. Check all of your fasteners, including the ones holding the motor to its mounting plate.

Re: Improve Dust Pickup CS43

We've been doing it that way for years, since the ability was added to CN. It is well worth it. Not only is there nearly no dust on the table, but the quality of the cut edge is dramatically better. You won't regret it.
