Re: miterfolding solid surface
Stuart, The 91 degree tool is the only one we have. We have to run it around 180-250 ipm to get a good result, along with multiple passes. Yes, we rough out first whenever possible, using a 3/8" super O. Personally I hate insert tooling no matter the application, but I can't find a carbide tipp...

Re: miterfolding solid surface
Hi Stuart,
We use the 91 degree amana bit regularly with great results. Perhaps you need to set a max pen value for the tool if you have not done so already?
Hope this helps,
jnr

Re: Does anyone use Vcarve Pro?
Hi Joshua,
I think the G41 / G42 cutter compensation is the only possible solution if you are unable to post with a known tool diameter. Sounds like you're on the right track already for whatever that's worth. We have been using VCarve Pro for a while, and we are delighted with it.

Re: Free software to view/read G-Code of .twd output file?
Tony, You can still email me your job files, and we can have the parts shipped to you at very reasonable rates. As you know, cutting parts for professional cabinetmakers is all we do, so you won't be last in our schedule. We have also been doing this for 10+ years, so think of it like getting a Ferr...

Re: Free software to view/read G-Code of .twd output file?
Tony, A .twd file does not contain G-code. The .twd file is a group of encrypted layered .dxf files. The G-code would also be specific to each machine that will be executing it, so I'm not sure how useful my code file would be if you didn't have a similar router / controller. Probably not much help,...

Re: eCab to Thermwood router-Learning Curve?
Hi Tony,
The Thermwood training will get you ready to cut on the router. If I'm not mistaken, I think the training program in included with the purchase of a new Thermwood router.
Hope this helps,
jnr
