Re: the new manual part placement feature

Sorry Clint for being one of the really cautious ones on a new CN release. Ok I will admit gutless. Hope this feature does what it sounds like modifing the nesting from what is suggested. If we can control the offcut shape it would be a real turn on. Thanks for the hard work behind the scenes...

Ikea new assembly fittings

This Ikea segment was played on our local Australian TV network about a new allen key less assembly proceedure. I was wondering if that is something that has or could be added to Ecabinets? Maybe someone has seen it promoted at a trade show? https://au.tv.yahoo.com/sunrise/video/watch/36036788/insid...

Re: Order of Drilling Stacked Holes

Hi Nat,
Have you thought about getting a custom stepped drill bit that has the two diameters required?
This would be a quicker way to drill. Of coarse you will loose one of your tool holders if you still need the dedicated 20mm bit.

Re: Vol2 Number 3

Yeah bring these back. I enjoyed hearing what Ken had to say and sticky beaking into other cabinet shops setups.
A PDF version to keep the costs down would be ideal plus us Aussies would get it quicker.

Re: Hinged Doors

Hi Clint, Have you ever thought about publishing the wish list with what your prority list is. If you get enough feedback on a item that is number 6 should be number one you could relook at moving it up the list maybe? This should give some of you winter guys something to think and mull over? Person...

Re: Thermwood Cut Center MDF Doors w/Profile Tooling Thermwood Corporation Thermwood Corporation

The reason for my excitement is the speed in which it cuts the door. When we use the profiler program for the door design shown its about a hour. When our kitchens have about 25 doors made up drawer fronts, applied panels and island backs ,thats a long time to take it out of cutting carcass and othe...

Re: Thermwood Cut Center MDF Doors w/Profile Tooling Thermwood Corporation Thermwood Corporation

I am suprised no one has chimed in. Must be the US Clinton Trump action concerning people? This is a great add on to Thermwood standard features. May be not so big in the US but Australia we hardly do any timber doors now only paint and vinyl wrap and gloss melamine is big in the upper price bracket...

If you ask Thermwood they may be able to supply Thermwood owners in your area?

aggregates shown on site

I was wondering if there are aggregates shown on the Thermwood site as I cant see any listed. I have a MTR model so I would like to know what is available for my model. I was hoping for a saw that will cut at a 45 and 135 degree angle in the X and Y axis if there is such a thing. Only need to cut 7m...

Re: Small part hold down on a nested bed

Thanks everyone for the tips. I intend doing a few at a time to get the labour cost down. Have been running these facebook promotions to like the business page and you get a ticket in the monthly give away. Get a friend join up and you get another ticket and they get a ticket. Suprising how its crea...

Small part hold down on a nested bed

I would like to do do a small cutting board come cheese board as a promotional thing for clients. I have offcuts of solid timber from jobs done over the years so only cost will be CNC time. As they are small trying to hold them on a vacuum table is a mission. Would like to do a nice shape and a liqu...

Re: Cutting letters

Thanks Will for the advice. I will try the sample version first and see how it goes but if you use it it must be OK. I will post my results in a few weeks.

Cutting letters

Just want to cut a few basic inhouse signs but not sure what to use. I was wondering if anyone has a almost free software that send dxf's or Gcode to the Thermwood successfullly. Dont want to pay too much money for a seldom used program. Any suggestions?

Cabnetware version 14 the final chapter

Just heard from a friend that Version 14 of CW is the last. I had the problem of choosing CW over CV in the late 80"s. There was fierce fighting between them on new features and graphics for that era. RIP CW Last week Prince who is next?
