I wanted to show some cut doors to the crew on monday I have included the job file....once again when I nest in ecabs the doors show no machining...I get the deal with the edge profile but the raised portions don't show either.... One door is using the asym tool that comes in the software... one is ...

I uploaded a DXF into the p-editor and I get the message\"unable to(you name the operation) the part has inersecting edges\"

Is there a fix at my machine or does this need to go back to CAD and be redrawn?

so did you kick all that out from the top of your head? very cool Ryan I got the tool done allready I was unsure about what happens at the CNC...

That is the question....do I have to model the profile exactly?

The CNC operator said he can let the profile modeler know we have \"the bit\" when running cuts through the profile modeler...then make the cut

Usually that is the case...with Blum hinges in the whole pattern file...you can allways load up a hinge and then use the line drawing editor to verify your bore distance

Whats the deal with making miter cuts? when I ask if it's possible in ecabs..the inevitable answer is no...but I see plenty of V groove and miter bits available for the CNC... I made a \"miter tool\" and the profile modeler copied it... This is reference doing 45 mitre on panels that would...

We have many profiles for our shapers and molder....is there a way we can use them on the CNC?

This would be for doing eliptical and circular crown moldings and casings....

Okay we got the multiple piece runs going of finished sized products....the next question is maching quality for solid wood components We have the resources to bring rough stock to S4S....no problem This is reference doing carvings on solid wood stock or fluted arched doorways and circular or elipti...

sorry no pictures yet....I keep for getting my camera and the ones we did take are stuck on someones camera phone.... Anyways we ended up using a hybrid of davids Idea then the CNC operator made it so we could cut 7 pieeces at a time(with diferent hole patterns on each) 2.5 minutes...our little feat...
