Re: door gaps

Gene, it works for frameless as well, use a negative number for your door inset, then for your reveals use the formula (-external carcase material width+your reveal) i.e. we use 16.5mm material with 1.5mm reveals so we would put (-16.5+1.5)=-14mm for the reveals. for no reveal or 0mm use -16.5.

Re: Trouble connecting to internet?

Everything seems to point to either firewall blocking ecabinets access, maybe port filter on your modem/router? what port does ecabinets use for authentication? Is this a standalone computer or are you connected to a network, do you connect to you broadband by cable or wireless. could be wireless mi...

Re: How many passes?

In this case I would nest and create the cnc file then edit it to cycle the sheet cutting changing the Z value for the different depths. This is a bit daunting if you don't completly know how to edit Gcode. A get around I have used, but a bit tedious is to run the sheet with a larger spoilboard valu...

dejavu....should we lock this thread now? lol

Seriously though, Gene is right, if your getting your components CNC'd then system32 is really not relevant.

Re: Shelf moving:

Here's an out of the square solution that only works as long as you don't need to reference the position of the fixed shelf to other items. Place a fixed shelf selecting Butt join, this will then put no holes in the carcase. Then with the part editor place your holes in the respective parts ( left a...

Completly off topic but it's funny being from Australia and seeing Mark Taylor and Doug Walters having this conversation. They are both retired Australian cricketers, nice to see they have taken up woodworking in their retirement.

Re: Add Part Clearance

Hi Joe, sorry for the delay, weekend over now lol...if you haven't had any experience writing cnc files then I would not recommend it. Someone who has a machine on the forum may be able to help out if you can give them what your after. Or I might suggest checking out the G-Code manual that came with...

Re: Add Part Clearance

Todd, I think Jeff means to put each drawer front on the bed next to each other not on top of each other, you don't want to drill the holes all the way through the drawer fronts. Part clearance is the distance between parts in the X-Y plane. Jeff you could adjust your dxf file to subtract the 0.5 me...

I know there was an issue trying to drill through a dado, Paul Ford was developing the same system for cabinet construction.

Any suggestions Paul?

Re: Cabinet Problem!

Doing a little playing I can't explain why it is taking so long with the rabbit profile round the hole. Your other problem of the rounding of the corners can be done by increasing your radius, this means that you have to round the corners of your rectangle hole the same as the profile you get to wor...

Re: Cabinet Problem!

I have had this problem from day one, there may be a way to get it doen and I'm pretty sure it is with the Thermwood machine not eCabs, it may pay to post your question there as well.

Re: Just a thought for the E-cabs Team

No wonder your the Wiz Dan !lol That's just what i was talking about, might make it clearer for people looking for answers, BUT remember that there is always more than one way of getting a result with eCabinets, therefore more than one answer (hence the beauty and flexability of eCabs).....I'm wonde...
