Re: Carving
Kerry, On the Gen 2 and the Qcore you really dont need to adjust the tanfac. What you would really want to adjust is your accelerations. If you change from 100 percent (G800) accellerations to 70 percent (G803), you should see an improvement on the shaking and you will not loose as much time in the ...

Re: Profile model not clearing long tool
Will, Sorry but there is no way to change the home position's value. Home is and always will be 0.000. Forest, The only time that it does not put the z motion prior to the x and y is right after a tool call. All other positioning moves have a z retract to the retract height prior to the x and y moti...

Re: Profile model not clearing long tool
Forrest, The software creates the code in this manner because after a tool change, the Z axis is at its home, which should be the highest point for the axis. It moves out over the part and then moves down to the clearance height. I don't think the engineers ever thought of someone using a tool that ...

Dave,
That option is available. Go into your settings and click the CNC Filepath button. Uncheck "enable cnc quick write". THis will have it prompt for a file name then.

Mohan,
You can change 2 settings and it will work correctly. In the settings, change the cleanup amount from 0 to .1 and then change from last tool to autoselect. THis will take care of the issue for you.

Re: y axis error
It's not needed. THe commands are modal. This means that the command stays active until another command is called. If you look closely, you'll notice it also on line 120. Please post what the exact error says and what line of code it stopped on. This will tell us exactly what we need to know. Thanks.

Re: Z axis will not drop
Your profile modeler file and your vcarve file are using different tools. I would verify that the daylight for tool 5 is correct. The second thing I knoticed was that the material thickness is over 2 inches. I would like to verify that that is correct. There are only a few diffent values that affect...

Re: Dividing a L-shaped Off-Fall
One issue with that is the sub program would not know the location and the size of the scrap material. You would have to assume that the L shaped piece is always in the corner opposite home and then hope that it always is. You do have control over the nesting corner so it should be, but what if the ...

Re: Maintenance history gone
It basically creates a text document that stores what was done and when it was done. Nothing more. It cannot be imported back into the maintenance schedule.

Re: Maintenance history gone
Go into your C:\system directory and delete the MCLOCK.BAK and the MCLOCK.BIN files. Restart the THM software and the schedule should be reset to the factoory settings now. Hope this helps.
