Re: computer performance
Yes I also have the cabinets turn black, or sometimes grey. Dont know why. Annoying, but if you click on render, and then go back to room layout, it should put things back to normal.

Video Card thoughts??
I seem to get a lot of errors when trying to add countertops. Sometimes I cant add then to certain cabinets unless I break them into 2 or 3 sections, seems to be an error with the video card memory.... So, I was thinking of maybe getting another video card, one with more memory. I am currently runni...

Re: 'No more memory available' error?
Ok here is the file if anyone wants to try it. I just went in to the countertop editor, deleted the countertop on the island, and attempted to add it again. When I clicked on designate edges it crashed. 'Designate edges' seems to be a trigger point... Thanks for the input Dan, I will try the memory ...

Re: 'No more memory available' error?
Maybe I can narrow this down a bit more... It seems to be happening much more now, (unfortunetally... reboot seems to make no differance.) Lately it always seems to happen in the countertop editor, when I click on the 'designate edges button'. Dont know if that is the only place it has happened, but...

Re: 'No more memory available' error?
I am running 64. Windows recognises all 9 Gb. It seems to be the BIOS is what is not always recognizing the memory. Right when you first start up before windows begins to load, it displays your processor, and amount of memory installed. If I see 3 gb then I can just reset and it will probably be mor...

Re: 'No more memory available' error?
Yes, It would be nice to know which memory it is referring too. I was wondering if maybe it was the SDRAM. I seem to have odd things happen with it. When I boot up it randomly recoginizes 3gb, 6gb, or 9 gb. Don't know why but reboot and then it will pick up more or less the next time. I also crash w...

'No more memory available' error?
Any one know what is causing this error? I get this from time to time, which crashes e-cabinets, losing all work since the last save. I've got lots of memory, 9 gigs total, only 3.1 in use at the time of this error. Could this be a faulty memory sdram chip? or maybe the memory on the video card? (Qu...

Re: Where to download ecabinets?
Thanks Larry,
I don't see the anywhere the link request option, however I did find a link to download Ver. 5.2 at the bottom of the page, which I missed before... That should work for now, (or atleast until june......) I can just upgrade from that....

Where to download ecabinets?
I'm trying to install ecabinets on a second computer, while I upgrade my primary machine. I can't seem to find a link to download ecabinets. There is the option to update from within ecabinets, or the option to register as a new user. How do I download the program as a registered user onto my other ...

Ecabinets with Win 7?
I was just considering upgrading from XP to Windows 7. How does ecabinets run in Win 7? Would it have to be run in 'xp mode'? Is it worth upgrading? I have to re-install windows anyway, as things are getting slow....time for a fresh install, also thought win 7 may work better with my I7 processor, i...

Where are wood components?
Not sure if I'm having a brain cramp or if something has changed, but where do I have to go to install wood components? (specifically a turned table leg for decorative purposes in a island.) I just finished a job where I had used them, then downloaded the latest vers. of ecabinets, and now on this j...

Re: New registration everytime I start?
Ya, I really think the root of the problems are stemming from windows, and all the crap that get's in there... My system overall is decent, I7 920, FX3500 video, 3 GB ram (typically 1 gb used and 1 gb page file !?!) Probably time for a fresh slate.... It seems' to be progressively getting worse. I r...
