Re: cs43 double pass issue
Hi Marco, Had this problem a few years back. If you can lower the head with the cutter you use, then in the extended position see if you can obtain any movement in the tool by gripping it with your hands push in the X and Y axis. We found that we always checked this when tool was in its retracted st...

Re: nesting configuration
Hi Everyone, I like Zach's idea for those rush jobs. Could add in maybe instead of one cabinet have option of groups like cabinet 1 to 4 then 5 to 9 etc. As you might get more than one cabinet out of a sheet for example. The other thing we do manually due to the high cost of waste disposal here and ...

Re: nesting configuration
Jeremy I cant believe what I am hearing. The USA can develop a self propelled grenade that you can make go around corners but Thermwood can't make certain sized parts go away from the outer edge on optimising. Will be great one day to take control over how things are nested as you usually can see ho...

Re: Working with eCabinets cut list in excel
Scott, maybe the question should be how many people generate their proposals through ecabinets module. If they would like do so,what is holding them back. There was a thread on this a couple of years back on what improvements people would like to happen.

Re: Working with eCabinets cut list in excel
Thanks Scott. Wow it’s great to see someone so familiar with Excel Macros. With Ecabinets proposal we don’t use it for clients benefit but for our calculations. We just want to know the materials required and labour estimated. With the cut list you could obtain information that would create informat...

Re: Working with eCabinets cut list in excel
Hi Scott Thanks for sharing that Video. A feature I was unaware of. I looked through your other videos as I was hoping you may have done something with proposal/quotes using Ecabinets. The proposal side of Ecabinets is lacking a bit of flexability and hasnt been on the improvement hitlist of the pro...

Re: Drawer Standoffs and hardware PTN's
Be careful with those plastic packers to bring the drawer runners off the carcass side. I used two or 3 so the runner would not damage the door. What I didnt think about was the tapper of the screw didnt give it a lot of strength. The client filled it up with expensive China tea service and when the...

Re: Hinge Hardware Holes on Doors & Gables
Hi Guys, As a different view on drilling the doors I would suggest you think about. How many doors per job need rotating? How much time does it take to drill the hinges manually? Can measurement mistakes be made at the drilling stage? Can doors be scratched at this second handling stage? Sometimes t...

Re: Blum Tandembox drawer front
Hi Mark, Thanks for the feedback. We were using the Hettich but got tired of the moving out of sideway alignments so tried Harn which as you know are the Blum copy but after a few issues with the fixing brackets on that we have now gone to Blum. Mainly for the go back maintence issues which blow awa...

Offcut usage
We love the use of offcuts in the library of common used materials mainly for carcass construction but we tend to have a lot of material left over from seen face jobs and packing sheets. These are a rainbow of colours. We tend to use these up for drawer box backs, bottoms, undercounter oven sides and...

Blum Tandembox drawer front
With wide drawers the only attachment is the brackets holding the front to the drawer side. Really anything over 600mm 24" seems to need a fixing to the bottom of drawer. We use a small L shaped light gauge metal bracket which looks a bit handimanish. I was wondering how other Ecabinet users di...

Re: NEED TO HAVE AN AUTO SAVE FEATURE TO MINIMIZE LOST WORK
My Cabnetware program does this autosave and has saved my bacon many times. The setup allows many options like save the last action to as many actions you want to pass then save. That autosave program doesnt seem to effect the performance but with Ecabinets being different it may do. If thats the ca...

Re: Mixing jobs in nesting
Thanks Guys for your input. The aim of the game is a quick glance at the appearance of the label when the part it retrieved from the sorting bench after being pushed from Thermwood to know what pigeon hole the part goes in for edgebanding, then carted for assembly. You could read each part but the f...

Re: Mixing jobs in nesting
Thanks Thom, I may not have your explaination clear but they do batch the cabinets for room "Kitchen" for example of Smith but I would like to batch Smiths Kitchen, two Vanity and Laundry cabinets together. The nightmare happens working out that you have four cabinets titled one for Smith ...
