Planning new PC system - requirements?

I am planning to build a new desktop system (this one is @6 yrs old) and I cannot find my eCab installation CD. I am running the current version 5.2 build 2. Can I get a replacement CD, and will I need a new reg-code to activate on the new system? I'd like to keep them running in parallel until I ge...

Re: New Project

I have to kind of agree with Wally about the design - the narrow cabs alongside the FP seem to clutter it up somewhat. Looked cleaner in the first version.
But if that's what the client wants, and is willing to pay for..., go for it.

Re: New Project

Gary- First let me say that is a great looking layout - very detailed. As for price, it depends on your market and if you are doing it partly as a favor for a friend and not for a living. I think I would be looking for something closer to twice what you quoted. The ent wall here is priced the same a...

Windows7 is coming, and XP is not dead yet

Quote from a Windows newsletter XP won't die; Windows 7 about to be born Apparently, Windows Vista isn't such a hot commodity :fire: : Microsoft has extended the deadline for halting shipments of XP :joker: . From a recent Windows newsletter XP won't die; Windows 7 about to be born Apparently, Windows Vista isn't such a hot commodity: Microsoft has extended the deadline for halting shipments of XP. Demand for Vista's predecessor is high enough that the company postponed the cutoff date to July 31, 2009. ...

Re: Can't edit/change HSF's or STL's

Thanks, Kerry. I see that does work but all I can seem to do is change the color/texture etc of the selected part. Is it possible to resize or reposition individual parts in the Editor? Can't find a combo to do that.

Re: I have designer block

Damon, when I was trying to design an ent ctr with a pop-up flatscreen in the ctr base cab I got an idea from Lamar Horton which worked great. This is the original discussion thread- http://www.thermwood.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=8039&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a The doors are bif...

Re: I have designer block

Gary, you also need to be thinking about those air registers on the wall where the right-side bookcase top will go. Maybe want to replace the mantle shelf with something that is deeper to match the bookcases and span between them. You could use multiple stepped crowns to get the depth. Then close in...

Can't edit/change HSF's or STL's

I cannot seem to get Display Part Editor to where an HSF (or STL) file can be edited. The part will load and can be rotated or resized (as one unit) but I can't select just ont component to adjust. So far tried about every combination of mouse button/clicking - no joy. STL files load but show just a...

Re: Whisper Ride TV Lift

George, for the WhisperRide lift I only have the HSF file. Where can I find the STL? Or can I convert the HSF back to an STL ?

Re: Whisper Ride TV Lift

George, I've been "fooling around" with the WhisperRide" TV lift file, to "learn" to use the Display Part Editor. I can resize the entire assembly, but is it possible to select the individual parts and resize them? The assembly looks like it consists of 15 separate parts, bu...

Thanks again, George. I think I'm getting it now. I'll play around with it a bit.
