Re: A (hopefully simple) feature request
We had a job around a year ago that had a lot of pocketing operations that would take a long time to nest, we upped the RAM on the CNC to 2 gigs and that did the trick for us. I believe we had 512 megs of ram to start with also.

Re: part editor wizards please reply!
I wouldn't say I was a part editor wizard but I can maybe help on this one. I usually use a CAD program to draw the radius parts up and then save it as a DXF file. Create a display panel and take it to the contour editor, right click and select Load Geometry, then select the DXF file you created. Ta...

Re: Refrigerator Cabinet
Here is two 41 wide by 89 tall cabinets that only ask for 1 sheet each for the back in the nest. I made the frameless cabinet out of a base cabinet and the framed cabinet out of the standard cabinets that came with E-cabinets. You could try to use one of these or post the cabinet and someone could t...

Re: Bottom Dado
Ted, here is a cabinet with a back stretcher with a blind dado into the bottom of the deck. I took the cabinet into the stretcher editor, added the stretcher, brought it back to the main cabinet editor, then brought it back to the stretcher editor, highlighted the stretcher, clicked on the add stret...

Re: Adding Possitive edge banding
You can use negative insets for the edges you need the extra material on. For example, if you want an extra .015 on the front of the cabinet so it can be pre-milled on an edgebander, put a front inset of -.015 on your part.

Re: Help: simple face framing
Here is a cabinet I built using negative insets and taking the cabinet into the part editor so the left and right end are one continuous piece. The bottom face frame part is a separate cabinet that had everything deleted except the face frame then the two cabinets were saved as an assembly like Dan ...

I don't know if this will help you or not Neville. http://www.deskam.com/deskengrave.html Has anybody used this software for lettering. It looks like a good program, however once the letter files are saved as a DXF file I can't open it with our CAD software (AutoSketch). I tried to send the DXF fil...

We had a similar problem a couple of months ago and we couldn't find the Restore CD anywhere in our office. Come to find out it is shipped in the low voltage side of the CNC controller (ours was in a manila envelope).

3 cheers for the E-cabinets school. Dennis showed me how to do that a couple of years ago when I went to the training in Indiana.

Re: Selecting Multiple Objects in PE
When you're in the shelf/partition editor, you can figure out about how many shelf holes it will take to get them all the way up the cabinet and enter this in for the amount of shelf holes up, place the first shelf, then uncheck the box in the construction settings where it says Apply Shelf holes an...

About how much time do you have in this presentation? When we do presentations we mainly try to get the cabinets to look realistic and don't spend much time on the room. This is really impressive. Customers would really appreciate this amount of detail.
