Re: Custom paint color for Conestoga door and drawerfront

Thanks, Clint, but that does not work for me. Have you tried making a custom color, as I did, by screencapping the target color, saving it as a .jpg image, then using an editor to make it the same size as the textures that reside in the as-shipped program under hard maple, and then tried to make tha...

Re: Bad count purchased drawerboxes

Thank you, I had not seen that. You are correct in that it reports quantities correctly when the count on an item in the batch is greater than 1. My only issue with this version of the buy list is that the cabinets IDs are not listed (B2, B3, cabinet name/label . . . ) Now if only I could get the su...

Re: Bad count purchased drawerboxes

Thanks, but what is the buy list in the "Item Window?" Is it the per-single-cabinet buy list I access as I show in the attached screencap?

Custom paint color for Conestoga door and drawerfront

I took a screencap of a Walzcraft solid color, their "Classic White," and using an editor, changed the .jpg size to 100 x 100 pixels, same size as all the "finishes" in the out-of-box directory of finishes. I copied and pasted this color, this 100x100 .jpg, into the finishes fold...

Re: Bad count purchased drawerboxes

Thanks for confirming the bug. I can repeat it by scratch-building a cabinet using a Thermwood-provided seed, inserting alternate-source d'boxes, building a new batch with two or more of the cabinet, and running the buy list.

May we have a comment from Thermwood, please? Is this worth addressing?

How to do solid color on Conestoga door and drawerfront

Is it possible to "paint" these doors and drawerfronts and save the painted versions as default?

Re: Bad count purchased drawerboxes

It boils down to this with me. ANY cabinet with drawerboxes (and mine are all purchased), when in a batch at a quantity more than one, gets its drawerboxes tallied in the buy list just once, while the doors and drawerfronts (also purchased) get tallied correctly. A base cabinet with one drawer over ...

Re: Bad count purchased drawerboxes

I have attached the job file, the batch in which cabinet B28, when the buy list is created, the slab drawerfront count is correct, because it uses the cabinet quantity (2) in the batch, but incorrectly returns the drawerbox counts, because it only counts for one (1) and not two (2) cabinets. What is...

Bad count purchased drawerboxes

I have two cabinets, both base drawer stacks, identical except one has a finished end and the other does not. One will not generate correct quantities for drawerboxes only, when I do a batch and look at the buy list. Download the batch, run a buy list, and look at the difference between how it repre...

Re: Diameter of bit cutting typical tenon joints?

I played with the settings some more and examined results with different inputs. What is called the LOCK DADO TENON GAP is more accurately described as TENON OFFSET FROM CENTER OF KD/RTA FASTENER. Thus, twice (2x) the value inputted is the tip-to-tip tenon gap. It is a gap thus measured no matter wh...

Re: Diameter of bit cutting typical tenon joints?

I think it may be that eCabs code takes that KD/RTA tenon gap value input by the user, doubles it, and makes the result the gap between tenon tips. This has to be it.

Unless someone has another explanation.

Re: Diameter of bit cutting typical tenon joints?

Thanks for that info, but if you've the time, take a look at this pic, attached. I am trying to arrive at a good standard for my seed builds, and what is displayed is the result of me specifying for 4" stretchers and back-edge tops in base cabinets with drawers, a lock dado joint with these set...

Diameter of bit cutting typical tenon joints?

What is the bit diameter typically used to cut the 3/8" mortise and tenon work in 3/4" panel stock? I'm doing some how-to-assemble illustrations using Sketchup and want to accurately portray the geometry. So, bit size for thru-cuts (full part cutout)? If different, bit size for 3/8" m...
