John,
Great job with the design in eCabs and then implementation. Bet the customer is very happy. The desk looks great!
Wish I had it instead of this CHEAP RTA particle board nightmare I have that keeps falling apart.

Thanks John!

How would I do this?
I'm building a linen cabinet that needs to have two "backs" on it. See the attached pictures and file. The lower "back" is a REAL back in constructions settings where the upper "back" is simply a slab door put in place to simulate a back. The lower back has the construc...

Re: Dbx designer help
Thanks Josh!
I'm always wondering how things get messed up and using the remove all part editor parts from cabinet restores things back to normal. It seems that eCabs is occasionally adding, or losing, stuff without our knowledge.

Dbx designer help
When in the dbx designer there is a button to add edgebanding. However, when I click on the button I get the following dialogbox. Any ideas?

Re: Unnecessary Cabinet Re-generation?
Thank you Scott! One other thing that, I think, should be addressed is when you go to exit the program. You can save a job, then go to exit and you will be asked if you want to save it again (even though you just did). Is there a way to put in a switch that says no changes have been made so go ahead...

Re: Unnecessary Cabinet Re-generation?
This regen is especially time consuming if you have in-house built drawer boxes and doors. Each drawer/door goes through a regen along with the cabinet. Time consuming and a waste of time if no changes were made.

Re: Shopbot Labels
Bryan, I use labels with SBLink quite often. There are several people who do and I'm sure they will chime in here. You will need to get one of the supported label printers - I use a Dymo 400 I got off eBay - and the labels that go with it. Once this is done, you create your nesting in SBLink and sel...

Re: Full overlay on Face Frames
I like Kerry's plan for an angled front corner drawer setup and I have used this on a few occasions when this was the customers preference. The design I have posted is for customers who don't want the angled front but want the corner front.

Re: Full overlay on Face Frames
This particular cabinet has about 10 hours total in to it. The drawer fronts and doors are out sourced. The pull out trays and the top drawer are built in house. Your first time around might take longer. I've done several of these (customers seem to prefer them) so have the process down pretty good.

Scot,
I tried sending you a PM but the system says you don't exist as a user. Not sure what that's all about considering you are posting messages up here.

Re: Full overlay on Face Frames
When doing FF cabinets with Blum hardware I normally do 1.5" FF's with .5" door/drawer front overlay with .5" separation between between doors and drawer fronts. Crown spacing and such is a personal preference for the customer. Some like more reveal (wider top rails) and some like the...

Re: Cabinet Divider
Steven, Welcome to eCabs. It's a powerful piece of software supported by a great group of folks here. I would recommend signing up for the video training that Thermwood has made available. It goes in to all these details about how to build cabinets and more. You can also get the training manual &quo...

Thanks Rick! Worked great.
I'm not even going to try and understand how it worked.
