Re: LDE Output to CAD
Thanks Josh. I'm taking the cabinet into LDE and getting the outside dimensions. I then draw a similar outline in my CAD program to the same dimensions. Guess it's fairly close..... In a future release (after performance enhancements are done) this would be a nice feature. At least export as a DXF t...

LDE Output to CAD
I found a thread on this subject from about 2006. I was wondering if a way has been implemented yet in V6 to output a cabinet LDE drawing so it can be manipulated in a CAD program. Thanks!

Feature Request - Corner Cabinet Drawers
I would like to make a feature request for a future eCabs release - the ability to make corner cabinet drawers. Or at least the ability to add drawer faces to corner cabinets. Right now the limitation is for doors in corner cabinets. Thank you Thermwood and I'm really looking forward to the next rel...

Re: Corner Cabinet - double door gap problem
Thanks Rick!
I hadn't figured on the edge profile causing this illusion. I'm going to try the negative gap idea and see what happens.

Corner Cabinet - double door gap problem
I'm trying to add a double door to this corner cabinet and have specified a .0625 double door gap. The actual gap seems to be much more then .0625. Is this an optical allusion or when I order my doors, based on eCabs specifications, am I going to have a problem?

Re: Faceframe thickness problems
That's very interesting. I set all my faceframes to 3/4" thickness. I wonder how this one changed to 15/16" thickness. I've also had PE cuts put into cabinets that I didn't do. Kerry, do you remember the problems I was having resizing a cabinet? Somehoe PE cuts were put in that cabinet and...

Faceframe thickness problems
I've attached a room layout zoom-in picture of a corner base cabinet adjoining a standard base cabinet. As you notice in the picture the faceframe depictions are different thicknesses even though both cabinets are set to have 3/4" thick faceframes. This is happening with two different corner ca...

Re: Windows 7
Tom,
I've been using it for a few months now and it works great. If you can, upgrade your computer to 8GB ram as Windows 7 (64-bit) will take advantage of all of it. If you're going with the 32-bit version of Windows 7, not a big deal.

Re: Significant Performance Slowdown Over Time
Kerry, Virtual memory is set to start at 8GB with a maximum of 24GB. I would think this would be adequate. Also, as I use eCabs I run the resource monitor to get an idea of what is happening to the system and even with a kitchen layout, and doing a lot of editing, use of physical RAM in the machine ...

Significant Performance Slowdown Over Time
I wanted to change the way door/drawer pricing was done and go to a global pricing strategy using that option in eCabs. I am working on a kitchen design that has 24 cabinets in it. I have the cabinets in a custom room layout. Here are the steps I took: 1. Bring cabinet into cabinet editor 2. Go to D...

Part Editor Locks up eCabs
Attached is a cabinet that this happened with. Took cabinet into cabinet editor from room layout editor. 1. Removed all part editor cuts (suggestion from Kerry to enable me to change the cabinet height) 2. Changed the size from 84" height to 90" height. 3. As you look at the front of the c...

Re: Problem saving cabinet bodies
Thanks Kerry. I just tried resizing a standard base cabinet and I got the same error. I guess eCabs needs a rest because I've been working it to hard. Shut down, reboot, restart, waist time......

Problem saving cabinet bodies
I am trying to change the height on a cabinet (attached) to 94" and I get a dialog box saying: There was a problem saving cabinet bodies. One or more bodies may be missing. Reverting Std Tall Framed open doors-MOD1 to previous cabinet state. Does anyone have an idea what this dialog box is tryi...
