Re: Positioning cabinets on the "backside" of a wall
Thanks Rick, The problem I'm having is being able to view the wall when I select it and press "w". The main side is displayed so I can position the cabinets up and down as I need to. But I can't get to the cabinets on the other side of the wall to position them up and down. The right and l...

Positioning cabinets on the "backside" of a wall
I've got an interesting kitchen layout I'm doing the has cabinets on both sides of a single wall. I can position the cabinets on one side of the wall but can't figure out how to position the cabinets on the other side of the wall. How do you do this?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Now that the dust has settled, How do you like V6?
Hi Kerry, Overall I'm pretty fond of V6. Great improvement over V5. The one area that could use some extensive optimization is in the LDE. It is really SLOOOOW and cumbersome, at least on my computer. I've done nothing for hardware updates or driver updates but I have noticed in the last week or so,...

Re: 30 to 60 second delays while in LDE
Kerry, I'm not sure of the code base difference between the custom room layout and LDE. But there is a huge difference in response between the two areas. It would be nice of the LDE could use the same pan/zoom code as room editor. At least it would be tolerable to use and create drawings. I hope thi...

30 to 60 second delays while in LDE
When I'm trying to pan or zoom in LDE it takes anywhere from 30 to 60 seconds for anything to happen. Since it's not reacting I keep trying and then all of a sudden all the pans and zooms I tried start happening all at once.
Is this normal?
I've done all the hardware and driver updates.

Re: Slow and Problems
Andy, I'm running a Dell XPS with quad core processor, 8GB ram, graphics board with 1GB ram, Windows 7 64-bit and eCabs is still slow and I get the occasional "out of memory" message from Hoops and hard program crash. I know Thermwood is working hard on speeding up the program but it takes...

Re: Parasolid Boolean Subtraction Failure - again
You're right Scott.
I changed the top rail from 2" to 1.5" and it took the CRP-20 door just fine. Interesting that with a 2" top rail it won't take a CRP-20/30 door but other doors are fine.

I don't know Kerry. Looking at the picture, it looks like the island countertop is displayed. I thought the hide/show would hide or show all countertops not selected ones. Maybe I got this wrong....

Re: Parasolid Boolean Subtraction Failure - again
Thank you Scott. I did notice that if I choose a different Conestoga door, other then the CRP-20/30, it works just fine with this cabinet. On another cabinet in this job, that has the same dimensions as the one having problems, the CRP-20/30 doors worked fine. There must be something about this cabi...

Fatal Error (3/4) from HOOPS routine
I've been getting this error at random times while running V4. I was going to add a Conestoga CRP-20 door to a cabinet and this happened. This error also jumped out when I was changing the placement of a stretcher in a cabinet. The full dialog says: **************************************************...

Re: Midrail/Midstile Editing = "Out of Memory" error
Elaine, What Rick is talking about, in regards to fragmentation, has to do with software applications allocating memory and not properly deallocating the memory. This causes "sandbars" of memory that the operating system has to deal with. There is nothing a user can do about this situation...

Re: Drawer box Tongue thickness issue...
This is disturbing to find out considering I'm getting ready to start a kitchen with several dozen drawers - and I make mine with blind mortise and tenon joinery.
