Re: 5.2 Beta Job

Kerry, in the Alver kitchen , how did you show the doors open at different angles, and drawers open ? Ive seen that in another post, too, but I cant figure out how to do it. In cabinet editor if I highlite/select a door and then try to rotate, the entire cabinet rotates.... this is another feature t...

Re: Door detail ques.

George, and Kerry great info as usual, and thanks for your time in helping us 'newbies' to make the most use of eCab. (Now that I've got your attention I've got about a hundred more questions...well, a couple anyway :D ). 1-how did you get the casing to show on the wall, and how do you change the si...

Re: Off topic. Doors on wide TV cabinet

Ron, I'd follow Lamar's lead on the bifold door solution. I have a similar situation and that's how I'm planning to do it. Now, if I can figure out how to rotate the doors so they show open in the presentation jpg image......I know Kerry has done it several times in his kitchen layouts, just can't g...

How do I move the target ball?

Loosin my mind...Hw do I move the target ball out of the "current" cabinet so I can load in another one to create an assembly? Tried every key-combo I can think of, and can't find anything in help files :wall: :wall:

Re: Entertainment Center w/bifild doors

Lamar the ent. ctr. with the "quad" doors (double-bifold) is something I need to do on my current project. I know I could build it the "old-fashioned" way, but not sure how to "build" it in eCab. How did you do it in eCab? Recent post in this thread refers to the eCab f...

How many Versions do I need ?

My system reports several different Versions of eCab in various places, depending on what utility I use to look with. The WinXP Control Panel seems to show only Ver5, with an update, but another utility program, Syetem Information for Windows (SIW) shows much more, probably stuck in old Registry key...

Re: My First One

Gary, for your "first official post" that is a teriffic job. I'm ashamed to say that I have been 'pokink' at eCab for quite a while, and have not done anything like that yet. The triple-cabinet group on the right is very similar to what I'm trying to do for an entertainment center wall grou...

Re: How about some accessories?

Kerry- BIG kudos to you on the Alver kitchen work, and the one here where you are "experimenting" with Rev-A-Shelf add-ins and accessories. You've obviously got the 'process' of converting CAD files to objects usable in eCab down. I'm sure the process is quite tedious and time consuming (t...

BTW, Mark. Did you ever create an eCab file of the Walnut Credenza ? If so, is it available ?

Re: Italian Renaissance Credenza

Thanks, Mark. My design requires a hinged top - the client doesn't want to see a panel above the TV when it's raised. So the Whisper Lift qualifies there, and the price is certainly right (and they do show a pretty good warranty). I'll look around for a way to power-off the TV when it's lowered - th...

Re: What Would You Like to See in Design Sharing?

Kerry- about the Hutch/China Cabinet ( sorry if it sounds like I'm beating this up, but it's such a nice seed.....) You said this is a design you have used as a base for several customer designs. THAT is just what I see eCab designs as best for; seed designs to be modified for each individual client...

Re: What Would You Like to See in Design Sharing?

OK, I'm a little confused. Please someone explain tthe difference between "Design Sharing" and "Furniture Network" ? Next question - If I were to take Kerry's hutch (Kerry - PLEASE upload it - I for one will buy it in a heartbeat to use as a seed!) and modify it into a different ...

Re: Italian Renaissance Credenza

More on TV lifts;
WW lists three TV lift units: thw Whisper Ride at $594, the LIftBox at $975, and the Haefle at $2400.
Anybody have/do a cost/benefit comparison ?
