Hi again Ralph This is the project we are working on. It actually for my sons design project for his final year at high school. (no.... I'm not doing it for him, It's his design, I'm just helping him implement it.) (No ...... He hates wood dust, he's not following in my shoes, he want to go to uni a...

Re: Some Part editor questions
Hi Ralph Thanks for testing that out. The radius overlapping the edge is definitely triggering the disappearing dimensions for us. From past experience, it seems to me that the order in which the constraints are applied may influence the results. Yes I agree that the order of placing then moving / c...

Re: I've got a good challenge for the REALLY experienced eCab users here
Hi Ralph :) . Hi Don :) , I wouldn't say talent. I always seem to have a off beat approach. The guys with the real Talent seem to have drifted away. The unit with the shelf cutout has been modified in the part editor. As I said above you have to make a judgment call on which way to do the job. Is it...

Re: I've got a good challenge for the REALLY experienced eCab users here
Hi Donald My approach would be something like this If it was a real job with proper sizes I could get it a lot closer to useful. For a one of, its probably not worth the time. If there were 10- 15 of, yes it would be. For a quick solution I would cut this much on the machine then finish it with a pa...

Re: How do I stop being thick?
Hi Al I wish I had special knowledge on how to do that. As far as I know, it just came out of the box set that way. Perhaps its a default setting depending on which version of windows we are using? Dimension settings.JPG The only settings I can think of that affect arrows, is in the line drawing edi...

Re: How do I stop being thick?
Thanks Thomas, good tip,
For metric users though, if I was using meters it still reads wrong.
If you wish to display comas, 12102 should be 1210.2 or even 1,210.2

Re: How do I stop being thick?
Yes. We are a plus 1on this as well. There is no need for mm or m symbols and no need for coma's or decimal points for anything over a meter. Just a question is anyone else getting the error as in the drawing below? The 1.0407 should read 1040 and the 1.2102 should read 1210 I think it is including ...

Re: Short cuts any thoughts?
Thanks Clint. I thought I had touched on a taboo subject. :D However there is no point just doing it for one user, (We would find it a really useful addition) I thought perhaps others might find shortcut keys useful as well? Do many of you other users on the forum spend much time in the PE and CM? o...

Cabinet editor Saving assemblies question
Multi-save1.jpg Often we create assemblies from various folders, or just copy and paste the same unit within the cabinet editor and modify it. We like to save regularly as occasionally the program ceases to function in the expected manor. (Ecabs has stopped working and will now close) For more clar...

Short cuts any thoughts?
Sunday night wish list :D Kind of a hopeful post, but most drawing and software packages either have shortcut keys assigned or the ability to assign them. As far as I can tell there aren't many in the part editor or any in the Constraints manager, please advise if I have missed something. We have be...

Re: Aspire export/import
Hi Brad
That was why I ordered it with the machine and I thought that was going to happen.
Nevermind. It is what it is.

Re: Aspire export/import
Thanks for that Clint.
I haven't tried any code editing yet.
In fact, I was trying to steer away from even opening that book.
But that is good advice because I was thinking I would be able to do it in the machine controller.
Thanking you
Mark
