Re: What the hell happened to my SIX KITCHENS!
Hi Larry - someone needs to call me please. I'd like to work a little harder at saving all this fricking labor before starting over. I sent a request to your feedback section on ecabs, please call me back. P.S. I can't start rebuilding this crap without some security that this won't happen again. Ev...

Re: What the hell happened to my SIX KITCHENS!
I think somehow this is related to the Generic edgebanding that was associated with the design library. I've tried opening older jobs, which also have absolutely no generic edgebanding or 3.175mm edgebanding - each one starts with the "material not found" window, and asks to add the new ma...

Re: What the hell happened to my SIX KITCHENS!
Thanks for the response - here's one of the files.
Fyi, I'm running XP, latest version of the software. I can see the files where they're saved, they still seem to be large enough (11,565KB) that the info is there.

What the hell happened to my SIX KITCHENS!
Sorry if this comes off rough - I've spent two weeks putting together six kitchens for a condo development, of course all six are different. Yesterday I was putting finishing touches on them, dimensioning drawings and blah blah. Today I come in and none of them will open. They all start to load, the...

Re: Base Cabinet Places off of Floor
I have experienced a similar problem. When I place cabinets in plan view they will end up the proper height from the floor. However in wall view, they'll be too high. Since I usually place things in wall view, I had to change my dimension to -100mm, so it would end up in the right place. Seems to be...

Re: Adding drawer front adjusters
Kerry - I think I got it, but it's a little silly. In a double door situation, "hinge side" seems to apply to the left side, while "open side" is the right side. This is when both doors are highlighted - I don't get consistent results when I try to change just one (the left side ...

Re: Adding drawer front adjusters
Kerry - I think I just got it. And it's still irritating, but maybe this was spelled out somewhere and I just missed it. Apparently zero degrees is different for doors and drawers: for doors, zero degree setting is vertical grain. For drawers it's horizontal grain. And I was assuming that changing t...

Re: Adding drawer front adjusters
While I've got you guys - I've always been confused by the door reveal settings, specifically as it applies to double doors. I have seed cabinets, and occasionally I want to highlight the double doors and alter their reveals. However, it only gives the option of "hinge side" and "open...

Re: Adding drawer front adjusters
Kerry - you're half-right - if the grain is horizontal and I want to change it to vertical, that method will work. However, to go from vertical to horizontal grain, doesn't work. It ignores the change. And how's this for fun - doors are opposite. I can change them to horizontal, but not from horizon...

Adding drawer front adjusters
Hey folks - I'm setting up my drawer fronts with Blum adjusters, which require a 20mm hole 10mm deep. Thus far I've been using part editor to drill the holes, then constraint manager to fix them in place. Only problem, of course is if the client does something like change the angle of the grain from...

Re: Grouping parts in assemblies
Thanks gentlemens - I really would've liked the display door option! I guess the main problem with your idea, Dennis, is the cabinet numbering issue. What's the best way to label those doors so they end up with the right cabinet? This is a big job (ie: six kitchens), it's kinda important that parts ...

Grouping parts in assemblies
Hey smart people - is it possible to group parts in assemblies - IE: I'm making some full-height pantry cabinet with slab doors. There's four doors (two over two), and I'd like the grain to be continuous. I don't want one single cabinet, because it needs to break down so it'll fit in the front door....

Re: Diagonal Cut
If I understand correctly, the miter function should do it for you. In part editor, it's the button directly right of the arc button. You can enter 1 or 2 distance, meaning it will cut a 45 degree diagonal, or whatever angle you want depending on the dimensions you enter. Pretty quick and easy. Hope...
