Re: Small Shape Manager
If you have a second monitor you could change the resolution, doesn't seem to be any other way to resize that window from what I can tell.

Re: How Thick is to Thick?
I use a 12.7mm waste board on top of a 18mm spoil-board and use it until it's about 1/8 thick (3mm), 12mm is about as thick as I can get and still use the pop-up pins. I'd say as long as the parts aren't moving more than usual then you're good, you can always mill it down more if you need too.

Re: Linux Fedora
Hmmm, maybe if you had a good enough system though, and installed xp and stripped it down to the basics it wouldn't be such a resource hog? Ecabs can only use 2gb ram and a single core anyway right? I think the advantage would be a more secure system overall and easier backups/restore in case of a c...

Re: Lock Dado Question
There is a setting in control nesting called min feed rate, bump that number up if you're getting too slow of a feed rate on small parts. You could also play with the last line feed. I haven't made any lock dados that small but I'm pretty sure it can be done, maybe change your lack dado gap to zero ...

Re: Transfering hardware pricing and materials
My guess is to use the back up restore settings to only backup and restore certain items.

Re: Nesting to the center of the sheet?
Maybe you can choose the best corner to nest to then use a g92 to move away by however much you need to move.

Re: Z axis will not drop
For me m61l8 is the pins, or at least to the best of my memory; if it's not the pins it's some other output. My machine manual says g51 "redefines part zero relative to the machine home".

Re: y axis error
I'm not familiar with Aspan but there should be a post processor text file you can edit. Save a copy before doing any editing, then search for a section that should be called rapid movements or similar and make sure it is formatted correctly, should be like : G0 [X] [Y] G0 [Z] or something similar.

Re: Z axis will not drop
Hmmm, something is up with that, I'd look and make sure the daylight is correct and there is no z offset in your offset table. I always use g901/g902 because whenever I set a fixture off set that's located near where the pop up pins are I get that out of bounds error; so now I just have a shortcut t...

Re: Forcing bit use?
I was able to nest this so it must have been a setting in control nesting causing the problem, for me it's usually the tool tolerance that causes the problem when this happens, but it could have been a tool group or tool data too. It would be cool if you could select a specific bit some other way th...

Re: Z axis will not drop
Gerry, I ran the code with the header formatted this way on my machine and it seemed to run fine other than I had to edit the T4 tool change, the tool name wasn't commented out. (TOG ATC CS 45-GU inch) G70 G90 M48 M00 M61L8 M00 M62L8 M60L8 G09F1 SET ZSHIFT = 2.08 SET XSHIFT = 55 SET YSHIFT = 5 G901 ...

Re: Z axis will not drop
I don't see anything too weird, but what's g800? I don't think I've ever seen this used on my machine. Also, I see a g901 and a g52l2, maybe take out the g901; I never use fixture offsets though so I'm not sure how that's supposed to be formatted. Also, what's m999 in the code for? I don't seem to n...

Re: Forcing bit use?
Remove the d0p551 from the drill layer name and see if that helps, I'll try and nest this tonight if not. Also check the settings in control nesting like I mentioned above. Hope that helps.
