Re: Raise Panel

Look at the post titled "Door Tooling" about half way through it Kerry posted something about being able to resize doors in the batch cabinets area. It might work for you.

Re: Placing assemblies in Custom Layout

After you place the assembly in the room click on it and then hover the mouse over the wall and see how far away from the wall the assembly is. Change the placement options place mode to freestyle. then change the move increment "objects" to the distance and move the assemble with the arro...

Re: Too many Cabinets on my buy list????

Maybe you could do a "select all" then double click the items you can see and want to keep. then delete anything else. Would make a copy of the file before I did this but might get rid of the cabinets you cant see.

Drew,

Make sure the cabinet you want to move has green outlines not just the cross hatch. I know that gets me everyonce in a while.

Re: Using prefinished plywood

Two sided Prefinished is all I use. I work off a Delta cabinet saw. I use a negative hook blade and it is hard to tell sometimes which side is the top and bottom except when the blade starts getting dull.

Re: Norm Abrams builds cabinets in Fine Woodworking

I use prefinished 3/4" birch plywood. Find it much easier to lift and move and hold and such when cutting and installing. Don't want to touch melamine any more. Maybe wrong but would much rather substitue the 50 pound piece of plywood for the 95 pound piece of melamine. My 2 cents. I dont use 3...

Am I missing something. Or does this process just change to the four different types of wood. Is there a way to change from say a maple to walnut without going into the cabinet editor and using texture match.

Nope not me. I bet I could get one to land in my head though. Of course only by accident. The real question is why would you pound a nail into that beam anyway????
