Re: V CARVE

Hi Will, Thanks for the information. I use G52L # also but still use the offsets. No need to post your copy I'll take a closer look at Josh's post to see how it will work for me. I was thinking you made changes specific to the CS 45. Josh, Thanks for posting your post I hope you don't mind if I take...

Re: V CARVE

Hi Will I have a CS 45 also & run V Carve would you consider sharing your modified post? I am quite green when it comes to PP modification but it helps to read through the posts to see what they do. A brief explanation of what you modified & why would also be appreciated. I am having a hard ...

Re: wont nest "back panel"

Hi,

It could be the grain direction. The CN software may be looking for a 1600 mm wide panel. If you are not concerned about grain direction in the CN software chose the material & edit it to having no grain. CN assumes x axis is grain direction.

Re: Moving a Thermwood 3 axis CNC

Hi Gavin, I would get a hold of the router manual from Thermwood. We have a CS45 & the operators manual has very specific instructions on moving it. The controller sits on the table and bolts down for transport. We had a nightmare in that when we bought the machine the person who was said to be ...

Re: Current tandembox best practice

Hi Jason,

No you are not missing anything I am or was  I was not getting the complete picture of how this works.
As you say the software compensates for drawer location on the box when it is applied.

Thanks,
Gerry

Re: Current tandembox best practice

Hi Scott, Thanks that was very helpful. We use a plant on gable on end cabinets & so need a full clearance on that side & a half clearance everywhere else. We are considering drilling in between those two dimensions on the drawer front. This works out to a .6 mm difference between the two. W...

Current tandembox best practice

Hi, Could someone please tell me what is the current best method of adding tandembox drawers to get the drilling pattern on the drawer fronts & carcase sides. Or point me to a thread that discusses the topic. I have tried the search function but most of what I find is old information & I don...

Re: Feature Requests

Hi Kerry, What you say makes sense in terms of not giving the voting to much sway for which requests are implemented but I think it would be a useful tool for any member who would like to check the list to see what has been requested and maybe if Thermwood has indicated a interest in implementing th...

Re: Feature Requests

Hi Kerry, I thought that was where the Drawer Dado feature came from. What i was trying to point out is if we had a list we could see what feature requests are addressed in a new build & which ones are new features not requested by members etc. If we could have the feature requests ranked by vot...

Re: Feature Requests

Hi, I think Daren's suggestion of a master list would come in very handy at a time like this after a new release. We could check off which feature requests were checked off the list. I guess the down side of a master list is we would see how many features have been on the list for a long time with n...

I thought you could adapt DVI to VGA but not VGA to DVI?

Hi Josh,

I know what you mean about asking first. I have learned enough lessons the other way
You didn't try to squeeze one of those new 27" displays in there :joker:

Re: 91000 G2 Supercontrol Monitor

Hi Josh, We are running a 2007 CS45 & our machine has only VGA outputs as I recall the last time I had the box open. If you open it up & look where the display connects to the video card you can see what type of ports are available. DVI is more common these days . Hear is a page with the con...

Re: Z axis will not drop

Hi, M61L8 brings the pins up then M62L8 drops them. I guess the good part of working through my problem is I understand the G code a little better. Scott, I read in a thread that the graphing almost always errors out even on files the router will run so I just ran the file with my hand on the feed r...

Re: Z axis will not drop

Good. Please post your findings so that others can benefit. Dennis Hi Dennis, About 6 posts up from yours I did post what the problem was. "The problem was between the screen & the chair  I had assumed V Carve was referencing the tool location in the tool changer ( 1 to 6) instead of...
