Re: Minifix Please Help Me

Hi Ismet I think the way you are doing it now with constraints is your best option. As I said above, while in Ecabs while there are many variable options pre-programed into the software, the ability (to my limited knowledge) to add a left and right pattern as per your requirements is not one of them...

Re: Minifix Please Help Me

Hi Ismet Sorry for not fully understanding. I think you want to apply just the 2 holes at the front and back of each shelf? 50mm and 82mm center lines? so no 3rd hole close to the front and back edges? I could be wrong, but I don't think you can add two different patterns to the same edge? (Does any...

Re: Minifix Please Help Me

Hi Ismet I think this is nearly what you want. The pattern is left and right handed so it puts in extra holes that you don't need. I adjusted the holes at the back of the cabinet to come in 60mm instead of 50mm because it was in the groove, but i saw that you can adjust that anyway. I think it looks...

Re: Machining single side material

Hi Dan Thanks for the explanation of plam. In our area we refer to it as melamine board, double or single sided We have had our machine for about 7 months, so still have tonnes to learn. :? and are still slowly learning operating techniques and procedure. (It's a secret desire of mine to one day vis...

Re: Machining single side material

Hi Dan What does Plam mean? I think It means what I Call BAMO back: Back At Makers Option, which means 1st grade one side and pretty good or tidy with key hole or butterfly patches the other side and is about 2/3 of the cost of "good 2 sides", say $70 a sheet savings, so on a 10 sheet job ...

Re: Mitered Cabinet

Hi Justin We don't use frames and I think it is a bit time consuming to set up because as far as I am aware there are no natural Ecab seed cabinets that will easily do the job. Perhaps some of the framing guys may be able to help out. :) I have attached an assembly that is frameless that may be usef...

Re: Mitered Cabinet

Hi Justin Probably need a few details, framed or frameless and perhaps a sketch of how you are thinking the units would sit, there are so many variations. Ecabs is good for drawing anything, sometimes it just take a while to get there. Some options.JPG Some options, but I'm betting you want the end ...

Re: How to update assembly components?

Hi Darren We have been using assemblies quite a bit. We like the ease of manipulation for cabinet alignment, wire framing to check details and adjusting in the CEditor. But with the recent program developments we are experimenting with doing more in custom layout. If I understand correctly? I would ...

Re: Can't have 2 faceframe thickness materials?

Hi Leo I'm not sure if this method would be a useful work around. I don't use the face frame feature but I have found phantom parts to be very useful. (right button menu) If you make one unit and copy it, (save as part 2), then open it back into the Cabinet editor. Change that to your different thic...

Re: Some Part editor questions

Hi Ralph and Daniel
Thanks for the explanations and follow ups.
Knowing a bit more how the constraints are applied and then handled is very useful.
In future I will try and apply shapes in the part editor that more represents what I am trying to do.

Re: Some Part editor questions

Hi Ralph.
It must of been a slip of the tongue or a mis-typed sentence, because,.... I don't know what it means. :?
I only try to use eCabs to achieve a result....... not to make my life easier.

Re: Some Part editor questions

Formulas don't appear be working properly either on holes
Eg H/2 - 330 = random result.

That's it, its Friday, Ive had enough. :)
