Add a partition in a drawer opening?
I want to add a partition to split a drawer opening left-right. This is a furniture base with drawers and double doors. The opening is very wide so I want to split it into two separate drawers; there are two full-inset drawer fronts. I used a shelf to show a panel/deck below the drawer compartment (...

That EC looks great, Gary! Was it hand-cut or CNC? If you don't mind, what was the aprox price ?

Need help with 'stretchers'
I am trying to place interior base rails or moldings around the inside of bookcase tops. I put one across the back as a stretcher, but the system will not let me put 'stretchers' against the sides, running from behind the faceframe to the back. How can I do this so that it at least shows in the rend...

Help PC run faster?
Slightly OT question for Dan, Rick, or any other PC 'guru' out there. Hope it's useful to general population: How to reset/release memory and speed the system back up w/o doing a restart? I have a 5yr old Dell Dim.4600, P4@2.4Ghz, 1MB RAM, XP-Pro/SP3, ATI A-I-O 9000Pro video card w/64MB (weak, but i...

Re: Panel Weight for Database Suggestion
I agree the concept has a lot of value, whether you are talking about fully-assembled or RTA pieces. Execution could get complicated, with material weights varying quite a bit, hardware, etc. Good idea though.

Re: OT Do you know what is in your computer
George, dont know if you went for a Registry cleaner but you might look at Easy Cleaner http://www.download.com/ToniArts-EasyCleaner/3000-2094_4-10529179.html D/L thru the CNet site & pretty well recommended. Also look for CCleaner. Both are good maintenance utilities and free. I use both - they...

Re: Italian Renaissance Credenza - TV lift
Dan u r right. Power-off will reset the TV completely, which will be a permanent PITA, so that's out. I've query'd Wood Tech to see if the unit can be operated by a multifunction remote but not confident the answer will be positive - the lift remote is RF, and most TV/Cable/etc units are IR. Since m...

Re: I need help with this assembly
FWIW- I use a utility called "Image Resizer Power Toy for Windows XP" which gives you a right-click menu option to resize an image to save space, display faster and xmit (online) quicker, with little apparent loss of visual quality. I use it all the time to "shrink" my multi-mega...

Re: Italian Renaissance Credenza
Mark, thanks for the update on the WhisperLift. Couldn't imagine why the remote would be a "press-and-hold". I want to stay with ordering thru Thermwood as much as possible. Not to mention it's the least expensive unit around... Got the deposit for the project last week so it's a 'go'. If ...

Re: OT Do you know what is in your computer
George, unloading Norton is a real good first start, especially if you have a router between your PC and your Internet connection. AVG is a good product, highly recommended by folks who review that sort of stuff (and as noted it's FREE). Here's a link to a list of stuff you can do (some or as much a...

Re: Italian Renaissance Credenza
Mike, thanks for the update on using the Whisper lift. Some folks might not be happy with that "restriction" - how would you like to hold your garage door opener button 'till the door was all the way up/down? On the other hand, the next one up the price scale is several $hundred more.........

Thank you, Damon, George, and Kerry. It makes sense now. I will try all that and holler if I get stuck.

How to place moldings on an end panel?
I want to place a thin panel molding on the end panel of a cabinet, for example to form a decorative rectangle. What is the best/simplest way to accomplish this ?
