Re: black screen in work area in new eCab installation

Sounds like an issue with graphics card settings or maybe the driver. Posting your computer specs may help.

Re: Automaic lubricantion system

I only seem to need to replenish it every month, sometimes every other month. I'd check the ends of the tubes to make sure air is coming out, check for leaks or breaks in the lines.

Re: crashed profile modeler

Ok, a combo of repair install and the above mentioned reg-edit seemed to do the trick, thanks.

Re: crashed profile modeler

Thanks I'll do that, I was hoping all I needed was a copy of a good file to get it back up. I don't really need profile modeling at the moment but it would be nice to get it fixed.

Re: Tooling Choices

With a quality 2 flute compression you should be able to go 450-500 ipm no problem; I prefer mortise tips. With a 3 flute you can go about twice that fast. With a new bit I tend to make it through 45-60 sheets before I notice any real chipping. The material you're using could also be a factor.

Re: Tooling Choices

I've noticed a huge difference between bargain tools and higher grade/ more expensive tooling; they'll last longer and hold up to re-sharpening.

Re: Nesting Material with No Grain

Check your nest settings. Make sure nest to edge is checked if the part is close to the material size and make sure the parts are able to rotate by 90 degrees.

Re: 3D Studio Max Files To CNC-ready File - How?

You need a cam program capable of 3-d machining such as mastercam, artcam, vectric cut 3d , etc.

Re: Hand Held Controller

Yeah, you pretty much need it for manually moving around the machine in an efficient way. It would be a real pita without it.

Re: Flip side issue

I've encountered the same problem with single part flip ops. When the flip operation part was nested by itself, say a sheet of the same flip op part, it worked fine; but when nested with other parts a dado was produced on the wrong side. I can't post any files at the moment, but I'm using the latest...

Re: How do I rabbit around an opening after a cutout?

You can use the profile edge tool in the part editor by creating or importing a flat tool in shape manager, set the comp outside the hole and profile modeler will cut it on the machine if it's set up with a the right bit.
