Jeff, that happened on my last job except that only the base right ends were affected. Good to hear there's a fix coming down the pike. It's a real PITA to fix manually! I'm just glad I didn't use blind dado construction on that one!

Thanks Walker for the update.

No hardware holes or Dado on Right Side

Hi, I processed a job that dropped all hardware holes and dado for the back on the right side panels only. All parts were sized correctly and the backs are the correct size. If you take the cabinets into the part editor and look at the right sides, the hardware holes and dado are present. The were n...

eCab Dovetail Drawers

I just wanted to pass on my feedback regarding the eCab dovetail drawerbox utility. I just finished assembling a large batch of dovetail drawers that were processed on the cnc out of 5/8\" Russian Birch plywood with 1/4\" birch plywood bottoms. The drawerbox was very easy to setup within e...

I came back in to check the forum and decided to reboot the pc one more time. This time, it said that I needed to shut down to install critical updates. I shut it down and rebooted after about 2 minutes. Reopened the eCab file and created the twd without a problem. Apparently, windoz was downloading...

New Error Creating TWD

Ok, I completely reformatted my hdd and reloaded everything. Being sure to follow Dan's suggestions in every possible area. eCabs has been running very quickly. I created 4 small twd's while fine tuning my dovetail drawerboxes. And I must say, it went smashingly. I loaded the job that has the dbx's ...

Forrest, I'm inclined to think that my biggest issue with blind dados stemmed from using the material thickness adjustment at twd. I think that the inconsistent application of that function created the unpredictability. For me, it was easier to go back to butt joint and not spend hours upon hours tr...

Tim, We're a small shop with a Thermwood cnc and occasionally cut for other shops. Honestly, I have abandoned using blind dados due to the erratic and inconsistent problems associated with them. Although, I didn't experience the picture 003 issue! It's apparent that part of the issue with blind dado...

Forrest, I'm glad it's not just me. It took some time for me to narrow down that it was the thickness adjustment feature that was creating the errors. I also found it wasn't entirely consistent which is the most insideous problems. I had stopped using blind dadoes because of all of this. I lost conf...

Walker,

So it was the something in the restore utility? Now, what's the prognosis on the material thickness update feature when creating twd files?

Thanks,
Chris

Last nite, I uninstalled eCabs from my laptop. I then reinstalled eCabs and installed build3. This time, I didn't do an eCab restore. I simply loaded the job, let eCabs add all of the materials to the database and then attempted to create a twd file. It worked. Next, I manually copied my backed up c...
