Blind dado and outline cut not aligning - Help

I've been getting some misalignment when cutting non flip parts which is really weird. Now my boss is on my back with the phrase - " You are working on it, right?". I've attached some files but I can provide more information if it's needed. Has anyone been getting the same thing. It really...

Re: New style locator pins

Ben, we have two CS45s. The first one came with the old pins are just plain useless and the newer machine came with the new style. The moment I saw the new style I knew we had to upgrade the older machine. I am not sure how much it cost us, best thing is to call your sales rep, but it made such a bi...

Re: Broken Hinge

Denis, do you think the hinge can be repaired? Like welded? It look like the seam left from the weld won't show and hopefully it'll be strong enough given that you put some W40 from time to time.

Re: cool CN 5.60

Try to adjust the font size. Make it a bit smaller.

Ryan is explaining how to do it.

Re: Help with DXF

Brian you are giving us pretty general ideas of what you want to make. The sign can be make in eCabinets as twd. I would avoid doing it as dxf and then importing in CN.

Looking at the hotel logo it seems like you want to do something like the attached picture

Mike just "google" it. You will certainly find something. I do it all the time with exotic woods.

Re: Workshop visitor

Ha. Easy for you Aussies to say. You eat your breakfast with crocodiles and your supper with snakes. Or the other way around. I am terrified by snakes. Doesn't matter how many times I've watched Steve Irwin or how many articles I've read about them. I see one I run. I might even scream like a little...

Re: Barb dado plunge

I would like that Ryan. I have a 3/4" tool that machines for our thick backs and on some parts it ramps on some it plunges. I would appreciated it greatly if I can set it up to ramp in all the time.

Re: larger tool selection for tenon thickness

I've seen the edge Forrest is talking about but never considered it an issue. A pass with a rough sand paper takes it away. But again we are a custom shop so production is not an issue. We've got two design programs that we work with - one of them is eCabinets. Thermwood's g-code is far more superio...

Re: Barb Dado

I am going to wait for one more update to switch over to it. I already found problems with CN 5.59. I think that takes care of my duty. I still have to find out the tools that it requires.

Re: DXF True Nesting Software

I want to use it as a true nest add-on to Mastercam X2. I wish we've purchased the true nesting to it as well. Now I have to nest and move all parts myself which takes lots of time. Anyways hopefully next year we'll get the newest version on Mastecam and problem will be solved. I think that with X4 ...

Re: DXF True Nesting Software

I tried it and it's awful. It takes forever to nest and it doesn't really help me. The program will constantly stop responding and load times for parts was way to big. Not really useful

DXF True Nesting Software

Does anyone know if there is a freeware true nesting software that can help me get some estimates for material?
