Re: Cabinet Label Question
Just because you saved it under a different directory doesn't change the cabinet that is in your layout. You will need to delete the original one and then load the second one you saved back into it's place in the room. This process makes the second saved cabinet the one in the room.

Re: Add Ability to Re-size Doors and Windows
That is a great option. Also, to be able to reposition doors and windows without first deleting them and having to add them back in.

Re: Add wood species to door material
My understanding, having chatted with support people at Thermwood, this is a limitation that they want to address in a future release. A lot of editors in eCabinets were built around doors and drawer faces that Thermwood offered for sale. Same with all the door/drawerface types. Part of an online st...

Re: Material Thickness
I set my toe kick height and setback to .001". Enough to satisfy the software but not enough to effect other settings.

Re: Material Thickness
The way I handle that is to create a "Toe kick" for the upper cabinet (make it a phantom part), out of the same material you use to make your nailers. I then inset the back the thickness of the phantom toe kick material (nailers). This adjusts the back inset when you enter new material thi...

Patition top tenons
I'm trying to add tenons to the top of a partition. I have a split top for the cabinet (top front is 4" wide, top back is 4" wide). I notice that a tenon is only added at the front of the partition and not the back. I've got my construction parameters set up for .375" deep tenons, .00...

Re: Bad count purchased drawerboxes
I've similar problems in that I check that I want to build my Conestoga, slab drawer faces in house and the material is not included in the cutlist. Doors that are built in house are included. Not sure why this is happening....

Re: Diameter of bit cutting typical tenon joints?
I have to admit, I haven't even played with KD/RTA joinery, so I've worn out my usefulness on this matter. Might want to reach out to Thermwwod to see what they say.

Re: Diameter of bit cutting typical tenon joints?
I use a 1/4" two-flute down cut spiral bit for mortises and tenons. Spindle 14K RPM, feedrate 6 IPM. I use a 1/4" two-flute compression bit for cutting parts out. Spindle 14K RPM, feedrate 6 IPM. Depending on bit and machine flex, you might have to adjust cut depth. I always make my first ...

Re: Flip cutting
As long as you have very accurate index stops and accurate sheet measurements (length and width), flip operations work very well. Make sure you have both X and Y index stops and you set up your flip ops to work with these index stops.

Re: Plywood and its inconsistent thickness
One of things that eCabs does to accommodate this varying thickness is to zero the bit to the table surface and not the surface of the material. I cut several hundred sheets of plywood per year, on my ShopBot machine (2009) using ShopBotLink, and the zero to table has made it so all my joinery works...

Re: Material left in full dado
I have the exact same problem. I've looked at machine flex and bit deflection. The only solution I could come up with is to slow down my feed rate and increase my spindle RPM's a little to reduce machine/bit deflection. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. And like your situation, it is random....

Re: Globally set default drawerbox?
If you go into the Adj Features tab you will see a button for Drawer Boxes. I use this tab all the time to make global changes to projects.
