Re: After the bugs are fixed in V6

Gary...
now you really have me confused. From your list 1) thru 4) are you looking to:

1) render these properly as a sales tool?

2)export a cutlist as Kerry describes above for cutting on non cnc shop equipment?

3)take the digital output to an automated door machine?

Thanks for your patience.

Re: After the bugs are fixed in V6

Gary.. Sorry for the thread hijak. Wishing V6 was operational isnt going to happen today... I got caught up in the other wish list. I am a little confused. In your original post you said that you would like " to have the ability to construct custom doors and not have to pick from the door libra...

Re: After the bugs are fixed in V6

This is one good feature, albeit imaginary. Even tho I like Joe's version best, that action would bring most any computer I have known to its knees, if recalc time for one is an indicator. How about the ability to save "templates" of CS settings, then bring a cabinet into CE as Kenneth say...

Gary...
That is a partition set up for a restore utility. It is only made as large as needed, so it will always look full.

Re: Unneeed Rabbit on Back

Nat... are the lines that you refer to possibly the portion of the back that goes into another dado? I have had a few problems with this and may be getting a handle on it.

Re: Part editor in drawer box editor

Gary...
Try this and see if it works: Click once, wait a second or 2 then click again. On my machine the drawer part takes 2 single clicks to select.

Re: Hinge Mount?

Nat... I use a modified pattern for hinges that has only the mount holes in it. We very seldom cut slab doors on the machine, but this lets us install all hinges with the minipress. Like Rick says, associate the hinge and plate to the door (cabinet) but only use a bore pattern for the hinge. (either...

Kerry...
It is terribly cold here also. The worst and longest cold snap I have seen in 10 years. 41 degrees and a 30 kt sideways rain. I have never seen it that cold either. I wanted to visit you because I thought you had a fireplace!

Re: Continuous Pull

Matt... Those doors were done pre eCabs and were closet not cabinet doors. We did about 800 sq ft of them for a local designer. Hafele has them. Part # 126.27.904. I am sure that the guys who know can get these into eCabs, but I do not use the CL or any of the rendering features of the software. We ...

They are called by different names, but if I understand Matt correctly, they look like these attached to some Walnut doors we made. (Hafele I believe)

Re: Is blind dado the way to go

Robert... We do this on a regular basis, although with plywood rather than MDF. All insides are finished with either a solid color or stain & sealer while a full sheet. We eliminate the masking this way, but finish more than needed. After assembly we finish exterior and then spray a satin (or gl...

Re: Cutting option for SB Link

Don... IF I remember this correctly, it applies to your drawer boxes. Create unique sheetgood names that are used only for the drawer boxes. Change your drawer boxes to use these materials. Create a new tooling group for these sheetgoods with your 1/4 compression as the ouline tool. (suggest 12) Mak...

Re: Version 6.1

My small vote is with Josh. There are programs that do rooms and drawing much easier, better and use way less resources than eCabs. And if I had another vote I would add a setting or two to the face frame section to allow us the flexibilty to mill the faceframes on shapers etc. and have them fit our...
