Re: Is there a way to make doors with sheet stock panels ?

Andy, Start by going to the door and drawer front designer using the button in the toolbar, then select the tab for the component you wish to design, door or front. use the source drop down bar to select slab. Go to the standard directory, then select the standard slab. Use the input fields to selec...

Re: Cutlist - export to excel link not showing

I've tried each of those uninstalls, except that all my updates start with 401 instead of 404. Even the restore point failed, so I'll have to wait on the software wizards. :!:

Re: Cutlist - export to excel link not showing

Seems to be windows update that messed this up. Thermwood is working on a temporary fix I guess. I've tried everything to roll back the update and/or use an older system restore point, but nothing has worked. This loss of functionality is super frustrating, but I think Microsoft is to blame for it. ...

Good to know it wasn't me! Thanks Brad!

That said, is there another known update that causes problems? I don't see

Cutlist Save/open button

Must be Monday. I opened ECabS this morning, altered an existing cabinet, then saved it as a cabinet in its job folder. I wrote the TWD file from the little CNC button in the cabinet edit toolbar (left, on-screen) then tried to generate the cutlist from the create cutlist toolbar icon. Up pops the w...

Re: Multiple part editor cuts

Clint,

Thanks for the suggestion, that is an approach that would work in this case. So simple, I can't believe I didn't see that solution myself! That's why this forum is here.

I wonder if this is something the developers would find worthy of attention in their next release.

Multiple part editor cuts

Is there a way to gang cut partitions? I'd like to cut all the partitions in a cabinet (84 of them!) using the part editor, WITHOUT taking each one into the part editor individually.

Joe,

That post for our CS43 with the QCore worked with the sample file I was trying, seems to be perfect. Thanks for the help.

Post processors for Aspire

I recently began helping a friend use his new desktop CNC which he bought with Vectric Aspire. His files post fine (CamMaster), but If I try to post to one of the Thermwood PP's it errors out on my machine. I am using a CS43 5-12. Is there a post processor specifically for this machine? The PP's on ...

Re: can't get gap between doors when stacking vertically

Try putting your doors on before you set the fixed shelves. So long as you know what the height is you can tell it how big you want your doors. I haven't been able to do it successfully the other way round.

Re: Warm up Program

Thanks, Clint! I wonder why this type of program is not included with the q-core? Seems like a prudent addition and one that costs literally nothing to put in the package.

Re: Warm up Program

Is that greese program any closer to being put up mike? Just stumbled upon this old thread, after reading about the warm up cycle some do daily for their machine. Does anyone have this program written that runs the spindle through the x/y extents? I ran the spindle warmup code posted here and it se...

Re: Wow!!!

t's a good thing that part of my design process is to save each cabinet individually in a customer directory as well as put it in the room layout. That way I'm able to put cabinets "back" when they've been AI'd (take your pick on the meaning of AI) out of the room. I do this too. It...

Re: today's q-core CN update

You hit that right on the head! The DXF layer function does lots of stuff for us very well, but as my ability progresses I find that I am want for something a little more full featured for doing signs and modeling. I have test driven the Aspire program from vectric, but not any of the delcam or rhin...

Re: today's q-core CN update

That is exactly what I was looking for, Brad. Thanks for bringing it into the light. Looks Like I'm going to have to test-cut some examples to fully feel out the application of the commands to see it working as intended. I actually turned down some work recently that this would have been useful for,...
