In your drawing you need to add FF for where you'd like the doors to go. The frames also define boundaries for doors or drawer fronts as do vertical partitions.

gaynelle,

You need to give the software a defined boundary for where you what the door to be. If you have a cabinet with a fixed shelf in the middle, you can place two doors on it. If the shelf in the middle is adjustable, the software will only put one door on the whole box.

Joe,

It think that's a very nice layout, though I would try and make better use of the space in the middle.

Kerry, I’m 50/50 on this one. Sometimes a critical eye is just what’s needed to push “something” over the top. I think the whole plan at Thermwood was/is a good one. I like the fact that they provide a good piece of software for free that can do the things that this software does. But, if I were pay...

Joe,

I agree with Kerry. When I first looked at it I thought it was a photo of a finished product. It was only when I looked at the cabinets to the right side did I say, hey, it's a rendering!

Excellent job.

Joe.

Hi Al,

I guess you are talking about the pot drawers. The panels were made from the default drawer panel so the grain of the panels flow horizontally and not vertically like door panels.

Getting ready to build

Here is the next kitchen I'm going to build. The renderings are not quite finished, but you can get the idea.

Lee,

In my experience the cabinets need to be made from “base cabinets”, if the desk is made from a standard wall cabinet/s it won’t show up in the countertop editor.
