Rotating a geometry cutout in Part Editor
I have a counter top segment on a 45 degree angle to other to segments of the countertop. I need to cut a sink hole in the 45 degree segment to put the sink in. After I create the cutout geometry for the sink, how do I rotate it to align with the angle of the counter top segment?

Thanks Mark - I'll give that a try.

Can't get rid of hardware
I'm working on a cabinet and I've set all my hinge, hinge plate and drawer slide default hardware successfully. I seem to be running into a problem of deleting a Hinge: Blum: BL-38N3580.08 from the cabinet buy list no matter what I try and do. The other hardware is being done correctly. I just can't...

Re: HARDWARE NOT SHOWING UP
Another problem with hardware is that you can't delete it. I go into the CE, double click the cabinet and then go into Cabinet Buy list. I try to delete hardware and it simply ignores my request to delete it. It disappears, I go back to main and save the cabinet. Double click the cabinet again go in...

Re: Interesting screen while viewing room layout
Good suggestion Joe. How would I get signed up to be a beta tester? I'd love to try and help contribute to a stable and robust platform to work with.

Cabinets, wall and appliances disappearing
I'm working on designing a simple kitchen layout in V6B2. I can rotate design view and see everything intack on walls. When I go to Presentation mode a wall, its cabinets and appliance do not show up. I know they are all there but for some reason can't get them to display. I've done all the associat...

Re: Interesting screen while viewing room layout
Kerry, I'm finding that I can only go about 15 minutes between shut down and restart. It makes it tough to be productive when you have to shut down and restart your work flow that often. I sure hope the next build is going to speed things up and stabilize things a lot better. As of now, version 6 mi...

Re: Interesting screen while viewing room layout
Joe, When I switched from CE back to room layout mode, it took the lower left portion of the eCabs window and put it into the area where the room layout should have been. If you look closely at the entire image, you can see the lower left portion of the screen replicated in the room layout window. T...

Interesting screen while viewing room layout
I was working on a cabinet doing some edits and when I tried to return to room layout I got this very interesting screen. I had to exit eCabs loosing a little bit of work and restart it again. I'm looking forward to a stable version of this software that can be used without worrying about it crashin...

Re: New registration everytime I start?
Just did a reformat and rebuild on my machine. Upgraded from Windows XP Pro to Windows 7 Pro. A LOT of problems have gone away since rebuilding the machine. I run a Dell XPS with quad core processor, 6GB ram and a Radeon 4800 series graphics card with 1GB memory. I've loaded the latest build of eCab...

Re: New registration everytime I start?
I use two anti-virus programs. McAfee and another one called SpyBot. SpyBot scans deeper and more thoroughly then McAfee.
Search for SpyBot Search & Destroy.

The randomness of errors leans towards a possible virus? Do you have anti-virus software?

Re: Ecabinets slooooooowing down...
That's a past life. When I left the computer field in 2000 I calculated I had written, over the course of 18 years, about 25 million lines of code. That's changing the polarity of a lot of magnetic bits on hard drives. And that's why I am now a woodworker. At least I can see what I've done after a h...

Re: Speed of V6 varies with use?
Hi Rob, What you are seeing on the resource monitor is that eCabs is, in fact, a single threaded (serial executing) application. The OS cannot move a single threaded piece of code across multiple CPU's. It is a very deliberate and conscientious coding methodology to get an application to be able to ...
