Guys, You would actually be surprised at how well plywood cuts at this speed. 18000rpm and 1200ipm conv. cut. The cut is clean and there is almost no dust left on the table. We also cut 5/8 melamine this fast but found that the edge would not band well because of the bit flexing. Long runs like an e...

Guys, For mdf its quite simple. Just cut in climb direction. The edge quality is the same but the line will dissapear. This is something we have struggled with for the 4 years we've had our router. Now I'm sorry I didn't say something sooner. I did think of one possible fix for plywood. The outside ...

Feature request

Thermwood, I wonder if anyone else would like to be able to set cut direction to each bit instead of for all bits. And also for all your skinned parts the option to skin going one way and cut thru going another. When useing a 3/8\" comp bit and cutting conv. the bit will flex into the part. So ...

Jim,

I tried to tab once and got exactly what it implies. There is no real benifit as far as I can tell over skinning your parts. I've also noticed a better cut when doing a .015 skin rather than .05 default.

Mark, Here is what we have come up with. The one size will work with any size bit with the 10mil shank. The same tools that are in your standard line bore or hinge bore machine. You will need a 3/4\" collet. Here are a few pics with different bits. I think the last time I spoke with my uncle th...

Mike,

What I know is the Thermwood guys are working very hard to implement this feature. Beyond that I can't talk about it. Besides I'm not going to be the one to try and steal Ken's thunder. Just trying to give Don something to look forward to.

Jeff,

In Detail room right click, choose all cabs. Right click again and choose edit cabs-change-Doors. This will take you to the door selections.

Ben and All, The tolerance should apply to the dado created by the part. So far as I know after much discussion on this subject your initial thoughts were correct, Ben. If this is not happening then it must be a bug. Dave must remember this was changed in V4 along the way for some reason and then th...

Hey Mike, We make quite a lot of mdf doors and other products. Just like anything there is a trick to doing it well and efficiently. Currently Ecabs does not support doing this on a production level, but you can do very unique one off designs which you can charge handsomly for. If you want to do alo...
