Re: Need to cut 96" length on CS41-48

Ryan, Jeremy should perhaps confirm this but... As I mentioned earlier, I believe that Jeremy's issue is that he cannot cut a part that has a finished length of 96". So, if he has a refrigerator end panel or other part that is EXACTLY 96" long - he is finding that he unable to cut it on hi...

Re: Need to cut 96" length on CS41-48

Ryan - I believe that Jeremy's issue is that he cannot cut a part that has a finished length of 96". Jeremy - My memory may be failing me but with the CS41, I believe that there are limits that are exactly 48" in the Y and 96" in the X . Not sure if there is any "extra" in t...

Re: CNC Cutting Out of Square

Sounds like your gantry could be out of square. Have you had any crashes lately that could have knocked one side/leg?

You may want to contact Thermwood's technical services to see how to go about checking the gantry for squareness.

Re: Dado Width Off?

Darrel, 1) How much bigger/wider is the dado? 2) If you put calipers to your material, what is the actual thickness in decimal format? 3) Are you cutting CLIMB or CONVENTIONAL? 4) Can you describe the 1/2" tool? Geometry: Up-shear, Down-Shear, Compression, Straight? # of flutes? Overall cut len...

Re: angled corner cab

Brian, So just in case, following on Rick's post - If you want these left and right ends to actually be 11 3/4" right off the router, you need to first adjust the left and right depths to (11.75-0.75) 11.000". As Rick stated, eCab will then automatically add the material thickness to the c...

Gentlemen, You almost have it... I have the same problem... Is there someone at Thermwood that can solve the problem? Jocelyne is a CNC Automation client (has a couple of 53s and uses Panelmetrix along with eCabinet Systems). Aaron is also a CNC Automation client from British Columbia. We could chal...

Re: Download 110MB for a time update?

Jason, I am sure that it is because the "update" is also a "complete install" for those that are setting up a new workstation. It was perhaps thought best not to confuse things with a small "patch", especially in todays "high speed" internet world where a 110 ...

Re: Expire in 6 days

Dan, Thermwood has already responded to similar inquiries. I would guess that the eCabinet Systems development team had assumed that they would have had either 6.0 Build 6 out by now or perhaps a 6.1 (or similar). According to a post by Larry Epplin: We will release a time extension version next wee...

Re: Load screen running slowly.

Sean... Are you using the RECUT feature? If you are not, you may want to try the following: 1. Go into SETTINGS and set the RECUT HISTORY DAYS to 0 (zero). 2. Close THM.EXE. 3. Delete both " history.mdb " and " history_save.mdb " in the c:\Rolling Nest\ directory. (Do NOT delete ...

Re: barb bit and joint

The Control Nesting 5.59 Update mentions that:
  • Barbed tool option implemented. Barbed Dado is an option with eCabinet Systems Version 6.0 Build 5.
Does this mean that the Barbed Dado feature will not be usable until the next build is released?

Re: Cutting aluminum sheet

As an alternative to liquid coolant, some of our clients have had success by using a combination of an "air chiller nozzle" directed at the too/cutting area and and special tooling that was dipped in a kind of non/low stick coating. The "air chiller noozle" was similar to these: ...
