Re: Furniture libraries?

Right now there are no longer plans to support these furniture libraries due to the difficulties users have found understanding the designs. If you are still interested in these files you can contact Thermwood support to get the files.

Re: Import Batch From Excel

Sean,

The old way was not correct. If you would have added more than 9 items you would have gotten undesired results. As I stated previously we will work on a feature to provide user selected sorting which will include an option to hold items in the order they were inserted.

Re: Import Batch From Excel

Just to add a little extra insight to what has occurred here. Batch did not hold the order of items in excel with previous versions. Entering more than nine items caused the order to mix up. This was a bug. We implemented an alphabetical sort as well as a means to keep cabinets and assemblies groupe...

Re: Build2 1b

Derrick, I do not recommend going forward with a system restore. I do recommend downloading the latest Version 6 Build 2 installer and running it. (NOTE: If you get the option to Repair. then select this option) This will insure the application runs properly after doing a Windows System Restore. Unl...

Not necessary. It is only an installer change.

Re: Machine computer too slow

Thank you for the info. The reason you are seeing a difference on the other machine is due to the amount of data. There must have been more parts with more operations nested on the newer machine. We will change the way this data is stored to eliminate this excessive load for the application.

Re: Machine computer too slow

Georgi, we have made a discovery that the saving of part data for the new recut option may be causing some excessive load for Control Nesting. Try this to see if it is the culprit. Reinstall the latest version of Control Nesting. Go to Settings and set the days to save to zero. Then go to the Load s...

Re: V5.2 Date

Yes an extension will be made available to users for 5.2 until June 1st to help users better make the transition to V6. We also plan Build 2 for V6 soon. I'm sure users have many question about Build 2, but all information will be provided when it becomes available.

The updates page provides a link to an installer that will add additional images. These are the images that used to be in the full install, but were removed to decrease the size. Look under Additional Images on this page.

Re: Hardware favorites

You can still set up a hardware item as well so your Buy List will be correct. Now that you can input your own pricing it will also be accurate in regards to where you do your purchasing. eCabinets always had the ability to set edges on a single part differently for KD. The new interface just makes ...

Re: Hardware favorites

Just select the pattern you want to use. It eliminates the need to establish associations. This makes the process much simpler.

Re: Hardware favorites

These areas were eliminated with Version 6. The Favorites becomes unnecessary now that you can simply maintain your hardware items yourself. There is no need to keep all items you do not use in the system now that the store has been removed.

Re: Associate a hole pattern

The concept of hole pattern associations has been a confusing area for eCabinet Systems for quite some time. It sounds basic, but when you offer the flexibility of sending cabinets to any pc with eCabinets it becomes a complicated process. This has plagued the application for years. By removing this...

Re: V 6 locking up my pc

You make a valid point Kenneth. Luckily eCabinets does not load all the information on each cabinet when filling the Item Window. It only loads a portion of the data that contains basic information. We are optimizing when this list is refreshed to avoid the unnecessary work for the application.
