Re: door gaps
To get the door to stand off the cabinet face frame, set the door inset to a negative number equal to the distance you want the door to stand off. You will then see the "overlay" boxes change to "gaps". Set the gaps to a negative measurement equal to the amount of overlay you need.

Like Tim said, jump in head first. Keep this forum open for answers either by searching or by posting. That's how I did it.

Re: Suggestions for future Ecabs
I like you ideas, I listed them in the priority that I would like to see. This is a great program. 3.It would be great to have a nesting diagram for solid board stock instead of just the board footage calculator. Woodsmith Magazine does some amazing board diagrams to show best use of stock. That fea...

That job ended up in the "lost" folder. I had almost forgot about it. It would have looked good on my website though. We've done bigger and better jobs since then anyway.
Take care brother.

Re: Save Image bug
It is more hit than miss for me so I count it happening and move the boxes out of the way and then crop them. Yes it is an extra step, but after all I could have dropped $7,000.00 on a program and still not gotten all the functions I get with this $0.00 program. So all these minor inconveniences are...

Re: Little trick to help you all!
I registered for the forum also and it said it sent me an email for verification, but I haven't received it. I asked to resend the verification and it said it was sent but still haven't gotten it. Am I still doing something wrong?

Re: Little trick to help you all!
Dan, I tried to access your "eCabWorld -> Member's Lounge -> Tips & Tricks" but could not get there. I registered but it doesn't recognize me. I would like to read your article on your virtual memory and see how I measure up.
Thanks

I learned a new trick the other day
I learned you can move a shelf or partition, in the shelf editor, by holding the shift key and left mouse button and dragging the shelf/partition. This may not be a new thing thing to some but it was a big deal to me.

That has happened to me a couple of times. I think a restart of the program and maybe the computer took care of it.

Re: FF stile widths for joined cabinets
Gene
I try to use 1 1/2" FF. then when two cabinets butt together I use 1 1/4" overlay hinges to make the door gaps 1/2". For flush doors like your picture I would definitely 1/2 the mating stile to get the even space. Anything else is just not a custom look.
