Upper corner cabinet
I was working on a project with 45deg upper corners. I started a new design from the seed cabinet. the uppers for this job are 12" deep. I am having a problem figuring out what is going on with the seed cabinet. My material thickness is .64". The sides of this upper corner cabinet say that...

Re: Fly cutting sacrificial sheets
When I got my Thermwood, The tech who set it up got me to fly cut the 1/4" MDF (Both sides) Then he instucted me to always flip the sheet when I fly cut it. This means that when the sheet is well used, fly cut it then put that side down. This helps stop any curling of the sheet. I have been doi...

Re: Bar code
I don't really know much about this but I think the barcode is generated only to keep track of off fall in a access database file. All other parts do not seem to have a bar code generated in the database. I do know that the label file can be modified with Crystal Reports version 8. My problem is tha...

Constraint manager
Is there a way to constrain an object to the center of a panel? I was designing some dowel construction cabinets and it seems I can only constrain these to the edges of a panel. It would be nice to be able to have other constraint options such as center of the panel and even the ability to constrain...

Re: Problem with top on upper
I found it. I had to set it to "mixed Flush" then it works.
Does any one know why this option is there for the top but not the deck?

Problem with top on upper
I have a problem with a top that I do not remember having before. I am using ver 5.2 build 2. The problem is that I am trying to get the top flush with the back of the cabinet and it is defaulted to the back flush with the top. It works on the deck but not on the top. The area that you select that i...

Re: Spoil Board
One more thing, I must add that you HAVE to have an existing sheet in the table for this to work. Leave your old spoil board in place and add this using the pop up pins. You need this for two reasons: A - to hold the sheet down with vacuum B - To raise the sheet to be cut up so you do not cut into t...

Re: Spoil Board
OK, I guess I am not allowed to add a file with an NC extention. Here is the text from the file. I must add the fact that this file came from the great people at CNC automation out of Canada. Great people to work with and very good at representing Thermwood. Text from file:- [WINDOW OFF] ( PROGRAM N...

Re: Spoil Board
There is a way to do this. I have not ran this myself but when the technician came out to set up my machine, he showed me this file and did an air cut with it to make sure it worked and it did. Have a look. It does what you want. It trims the over size sheet to fit in the 5 x 10 table. I also use a ...

Can you keep me posted on this as I downloaded the 5.41 update but have not installed it at this time.
I do not want to install it if this is the case.
Thanks

Re: Write CNC then CRASH!
I have had a problem with 5.2 and 5.1 crashing. I found that it seemed to be related to my computer running 2 monitors. When I do not have the desk top settings set to extend my computer to the second monitor, it seems more stable. When I have the second monitor, it crashes quite a bit. Even if I tu...

Re: Drawer box problem
I found a work around. It seems there is a known issue with version 5.2 and this problem. After many hours and sheets of material, the following settings seem to work. Depth - .375, depth clearance - .03, fit clearance .02, % of material - 42%. as soon as you come close to 50% it goes way off. If yo...

Control nesting
I just upgraded to a Thermwood router from and entry level unit. I have what might be a stupid question regaring a set up in the control nesting. When the technician came out to set up my machine, he set the pocket cutter as a 1/4" bit. I did a custom project that had large pockets and it tool ...
