Re: CN hangs when nesting profiled MDF doors
Clint, sure thing. For the record, I left the control on over night and it DID eventually choke. "out of memory" dialog window was up when I got in this morning. Any advice from anyone who replaced their RAM? I'd like to max it out now, so I don't have to deal with this. Whats the maximum ...

Re: CN hangs when nesting profiled MDF doors
I will say it takes more than 4 minutes to nest just one on a sheet, and although I've given the computer time to complete the function, it never completes a nest of more than one piece with the profile.

CN hangs when nesting profiled MDF doors

I proofed a few different speeds and feeds, with a single drawer front, and that worked as expected. But I can't get a full sheet of these nested without the computer just stalling at t...

Re: Magic Doors!
Thanks, Clint. I often manually size doors, when there is stack so that the lock hardware is contiguous about the horizontal elements in a cabinet.

Magic Doors!
Having trouble with door positioning, maybe its my process- you tell me ;) Begin with a standard frameless base cabinet. Change the size to 23w, 84h, 18d. Set detached 4" tk. Add a fixed shelf, and position it such that the top opening is 23.375. Apply double doors to this opening, and change t...

Re: Rectangular Optimization bugs
Thanks for clearing that up, I'm looking forward to using this new feature, and seeing where yield is truly improved, and where it just makes sense to keep using our previous settings.

Re: Rectangular Optimization bugs
I've noticed that the rectangular nest also overrides the keep flip ops together parameter. Not sure if this was intentional or not, but I noticed that the drawers for the job I first used the rectangular nesting on, ALL the sheets were flip ops, instead of ganging them all up for the first sheets.

Gene, "...Finally, when I want more partitions, am I going to have to part edit every one, or is there some trick way to replicate the part?" In the part editor, under the contour menu, you can save/open the geometry created for one part, and open onto another part. Then use the same "...

Lol "Sub'ed"
I haven't been able to do this yet, and I know of no-one who has. I can't even get the construction settings to hold a DIFFERENT hardware ptn for joinery, I literally have to insert a part, then change the hardware pattern EVERY. DARN. TIME.
