Is it normal to lose part editor cuts when changing sheet stock materials? It seemed to have happened to my job.

computer performance
I recently got a new (refurbished Dell) M6400 Precision mobile workstation. This was to replace the 5 year old gateway that was stolen a couple of weeks ago. The specs of the new machine is as follows: P8600 processor, windows XP 32 bit, 4 GB Ram ( I realize not all 4G is accesible due to the 32 bit...

Re: Locking stretcher position
Actually the problem isn't solved. I have an up and down oriented stretcher used as a screw rail located just below the top and inside the back. It is locked 1 1/2" from the top, and 1/4" from the back of the ends. When the cabinet is resized in the cabinet editor, it works fine, but when ...

Re: Locking stretcher position
The problem seems to have solved itself. I have been busy installing and just got back to some design work, and the cabinet seems to be OK now. I also thought the stretcher may be locked to the top and bottom, but I checked and that wasn't the case. It seems as if it is just one of those strange thi...

Locking stretcher position
I have a seed cabinet upper with a stretcher at the top rear for a screw rail for attaching to the wall. I have it locked in position at the top inside below the the top. When I resize the height, the stetcher remains locked at the correct vertical position, but the width of the stretcher increases ...

Re: Fixed shelf blind dados disappearing
No, I cut with a panel saw and drill with a construction drill. It could be software operator error (me). Strange things happen and sometimes we are quick to blame someone else when it is really our error. The part that changed for me, was a toe kick. The ends remained butt joints, but the top chang...

Re: Fixed shelf blind dados disappearing
I've had butt joints turn into blind dado's. Like you, I haven't had time to see why this happened. It's just frustrating when things like this change... It makes me not trust the software. It seems I have to go over everything with a fine tooth comb to be sure all the cabinets in a particular job a...

Re: Nest printing iissues
I had some of the same issues wth the line drawing editor. It would print a totally black page, and sometimes it would just feed through a blank page.
If I closed the software and restarted it, the issue went away.

Re: Changing cabinets from stain to paint?
You can change sheet stock in room lay out or batch cabinet area. It is possible to select each sheet stock you wish to change, then select a replacement from you sheet stock materials. All sheet stock in the entire job will then be changed to the replacement material you selected. In room layout, j...

Re: Will a new computer help?
Thank's for the input everyone. That is exactly the information I was wanting. I don't have much trouble placing cabinets, I have however, had some really funky things happen with counter tops. Extra tops have appeared, and it takes some innovative manuevers to get rid of them. Sounds like most of t...

Will a new computer help?
I am contemplating a new computer, but am am wondering if it will solve the problems I have been having. The LDE is jerky and slow. I am having trouble sticking the nodes. Selecting parts or cabinets is delayed. I can get a couple clicks ahead of my self if I am not careful. Printing in the LDE is g...

I guess I should have read the post. So much for the theory of getting 80% of the good out of 20% of the work.

Re: Request - LDE from the Batch List
I believe if you click on the cabinet, it will take it to the cabinet editor, from there you can take it to the LDE and make drawings.
Hope that helps.
