I'm on 5.43.
It appears that cn sees this pocket as a drill operation.

pocket problem
I'm having a bit of a problem cutting this pocket. I created a display panel and used part editor to draw a 2" circle. Selected cut pocket .25" deep and wrote the .twd file. Sent the file to the control and nested the part. Everything looks good so far. When I ran the part, the attached pi...

Re: 32 mm Question??
I have a question for those not boring system holes. Has anyone, besides me, gotten a call from a customer a week or so after the install asking if a roll out could be raised an inch or two in a pantry or base cabinet to fit a cereal box? With system holes it's easy. Without system holes it's a pain.

barcode scanner
I'm thinking about getting a barcode scanner for the control. What brands and models are working well for you?

Re: Formatted excel spread sheet
Leigh, I changed the formatting but it still didn't work. Then I noticed that I didn't have a column named "New Name". I added the column and all is well. Not sure how I missed that. I guess when the help file said optional, I assumed the column heading was optional. Anyway, thanks for you...

Re: Formatted excel spread sheet
Leigh,
I used your spreadsheet to load my cabinets and it worked perfectly. I double checked my spreadsheet and it is setup just like yours. Even the cell formatting is the same. Don't know why mine won't work. What version of Excel are you using? Mine is Excel2000 SP3.

Re: Cutlists & Assemblies
If you created an assembly, you should get a cutlist for the whole thing. If you have any cabinets selected when you hit "C", you'll get a cutlist for what is selected. If no cabinets are selected, you get a cutlist for the whole thing. Rather long winded but should be accurate.

Re: Formatted excel spread sheet
I haven't used this feature before so I just tried one using the example from eCabinet Systems Made Easy. Every time I try to do the import, eCabinets crashes. I tried with and without the header row. Both caused a crash. The cabinet names and directory both exist on my machine. Does the Excel file ...

Re: Grooving
Good morning Leigh. If your tools are set up correctly, the machine will select the next smallest tool and make two passes. Remember, always check your sheet thickness before sending the job to the machine. 8mm stock may not always be 8mm. When you select CNC in eCabinets, you can change material th...

Re: tooling question
Thanks for the response Jerry. It's reassuring to hear how others do these things. I think I'll get a 1/4" comp bit and add it to my tool selection. Well said Jerry.

tooling question
I'm new to the router world, only having my machine for about a month. I'm currently using a 3/16" down spiral to cut the dados for cabinet backs and this works fine. What tool do most of you use for this process? I also need to cut some small pockets, about 1/4" to 5/16" in diameter....
