Re: Anyone Using the CS 41?
We're in 1500 sq. ft. After removing the 2nd table saw, the vertical panel saw, the radial arm saw and relocating the line-boring machine to a less-central location (it only gets used for drilling pull holes in doors now), we actually have a good deal more open floor space than before.

Re: Anyone Using the CS 41?
I really think the 41 would be the machine for you Kerry. Anything that it won't do, there are dozens of people here with machines that will do it that would be happy to help out. We do primarily use it for cutting out cabinet parts from 4x8 sheet stock. But I'm also looking to do other things with ...

Re: Anyone Using the CS 41?
We're using one Kerry, we got it last September. We chose it not only because it is the most affordable option, but we actually prefer the 4x8 table. Ours is not a big shop and it fits much better than a bigger machine (and the associated bigger support hardware.) We got the 20hp vacuum pump, and it...

Re: Corner Cabinets
Dennis is correct. I've done them that way many times. I haven't done one lately, but I'll see if I can remember the steps to do it: 1. Place your corner cabinet in a room. 2. Hightlight that cabinet, right-click and go to Change Materials-->Sheet stock 3. Click the green checkmark to change it to a...

New empty room crashes on render
Load the attached job, simply a small empty room, which I created from a freshly-started eCabinets. Hit the Render button and it crashes. To get it to render, you must delete walls #4 and #5. Deleting either one alone won't fix it. The only thing that is different about either of those walls is that...
Re: Geniuses
Reminds me of a few years ago, the insurance cards for my cars had my last name mis-spelled... instead of two F's, there were two T's. Lots of fun was had with that one!

Re: Second Computer Installation
Just to add to my last post...
It doesn't check for updates (and therefore pop up an error message) every time you start the program. Only occasionally, like once a month or less.

Re: Second Computer Installation
True, Dan. But if it doesn't detect an internet connection it pops up an error telling you there is no connection, and asks to either retry or cancel. If you cancel, the program starts normally.

Re: Second Computer Installation
Hi Brandan, Unless something has changed with the latest release, there is no way to use ecabs without hooking up to the internet on the first run so it can register. My suggestion is to carry your shop computer home or whereever you may have internet access and let it register from there. No intern...

Re: Cabinet numbering question
Where it starts getting hard to keep up with is when you delete a cabinet, say cabinet #5 of 10. Now #6 will become #5, on up to #10 becoming #9, and any new cabinet you add will be #10. Not a problem, but if you've already cut out the rest of the stuff and now suddenly your cabinet numbers don't ji...

Re: Grain on / off
Thom,
What Rob is asking is if it's possible to have eCabs mark those parts so CN will ignore the grain direction and therefore rotate them automatically for best yield. I've thought about this before and believe it'd be a very useful addition. Anyone else think this would be handy?

You may want the hair back, but please tell me you don't want the mullet!

You better get that picture out of here Kerry, before someone sees it and asks you to build it.
(I can hear 'em now... "My interior decorater saw your picture and just loved it, can you build that for me?")

Re: how to machine a pocket using ecabinets
My guess would be that if your bit is exactly 4mm in diameter, and you're trying to cut a 4mm pocket, it won't work because the bit must be smaller than the pocket you're creating, otherwise one side of the cut will be a conventional cut and the other side a climb cut, and CN doesn't allow that. Ano...
