Custom Moldings
Hi guys,
is there a way to make custom crown moldings in eCabinets that you could later use in the custom layout of the program. I just need to know the main few steps and places in the program that I need to go through. I am sure I can figure it out from there. Thanks

Re: Material Thickness Update
Thanks Dan,
I will go through all the cabinets just to make sure that everything is correct. I don't want to risk it and mess up the job. It's way to big and too important. I just ordered 100 sheets of laminate for it with at least 2 weeks back order.

Material Thickness Update
Hi guys, I have question regarding material thickness update. How does eCab update the thickness of the material. If I change it and update it in "Define Stock Material" would that be good enough. Would it still resize the cabinet parts to the correct width depth and height. I am asking th...

Re: Thinking of MAC
Hi Jason, we thought the same way as you when I got my PC. I don't think that you will get a big difference in performance between PC and Mac. ECabinets have a big issue with speed when it comes to complicated cabinets. It regenerates and recalculates even parts that have not been changed and that t...

Hydro Tool Holder For Thermwood Machines
Hi guys, we have a CS45 CNC router and recently I heard that there's a company that makes hydro tool holders for the thermwood machines. We have problem with the wear of our outline tool and we are looking into ideas to extend the life of the tool. We don't want to use shrink fits and diamonds. Diam...

Re: Texture Change in Custom Layout
Just for future information about this topic. What I found is that you can skip using AccuTrans 3D and do the same job or even better one with Mastercam (if of course you have the software). You would need Autocad and MasterCam and eCabinets. Save any 3D model as dxf before loading in MasterCam - it...

Re: Texture Change in Custom Layout
So what I have to do is explode the object and save each part that I want with different colors separately but with the same origin point and then import it all together and change the textures separately and save as one 3D object at the end. Anyways I will try and see what happens. It doesn't seem ...

Re: Texture Change in Custom Layout
Hi guys, is there a way when importing *.stl file in eCabinets to be able to finish some parts of the appliance in different color. I have tried doing that with a range and giving is stainless steel look but then the whole thing turns in steel color. I want the burners and the switches to be black a...

Re: C Axis/ 5 Axis Spacer Help
Did anyone create a universal suction cup system that could work with a flat bed CNC router? I have been reading on internet about suction cups and so far my only idea is making a 60x120 sheet with melamine finish on the bottom side and drilling holes through the entire sheet probably about 1 1/2 or...

Texture Change in Custom Layout
Hi guys, I have a very simple question for you. I am making a custom layout and it's kind of first time since the initial training in eCabinets. Everything seems pretty easy and user friendly but I can't change the texture of the walls and the floor once I build them. I was wondering if it's a bug o...

Re: C Axis/ 5 Axis Spacer Help
Hi Will,
we are mainly doing commercial mill work and lately lots of doors. Could you post the link to the woodweb.com forum about these suction cups. I really need to get the idea as right now I really can't imagine it. Could you explain how they work?

C Axis/ 5 Axis Spacer Help
Hi guys, we recently upgraded our machine and put a C axis on it so we can machine door hinges and also mortise doors for lock sets and other stuff like that - basically flat pieces that need to be taken up about 1 1/2" off the bed of the machine to allow the aggregate to go around. I have been...
