Here is an example of a polyline created with arc and line segments. Note: You need a panel of x=42, y=60.

Re: Added option to import DXF polylines as lines or as arcs (Enhanced)
The polyline has to be originally created with line and arc segments. A "spline" like you have illustrated will be broken into small lines as there are no original arc entities which define it.

Re: Using the f/x editor
carmen,
I just want to point out that I was assuming a "drawer stretcher" sort of application. The same sort of thing could be done when applied to the "Front Offset".

Re: Using the f/x editor
Try the following in the " Shelf/Partion Editor ": Formula Editor.jpg CabinetDepth-BackThickness-4.00000000000000-0.25000000000000 Where: CabinetDepth is the built in variable for the depth of the cabinet. BackThickness is the built in variable for the thickness of the BACK . 4.0 is YOUR F...

Re: Error message
I would like to point out that the current version of Control Nesting is 6.0 and was released on March 20th, 2017 ( contrary to what the "Updates" screen states "3/20/ 2016 " ). Your 5.90 version was release January 7th, 2016 . I am not saying that that the newer release will sol...

Re: Order of Drilling Stacked Holes
Nat, I believe that no matter what the setting for " Do Drills First " is, it only affects the order of operations within each part (drill, dado, pocket, etc). OUTLINE s are ALWAYS * performed last. (*The exception to this is if "Do Profiling Last" is checked. This only applies t...

Re: THM Version 10
A couple of clients have contacted us here at CNC Automation about these "AWOL" icons on the tool bar. We have spoken to Thermwood's "Software Support" and have forwarded our suggestion to "reintroduce" these icons back using the free space available. THM-10_Missing Ico...

Re: today's q-core CN update
PLUNGE is only an option for the CENTERLINE layer. START is an option for CENTERLINE , CHAIN COMPIN/OUT and I believe OUTLINE . Might be applicable to POCKET (for the start of the clean-up pass.). ( Not much use with DRILL or DADO .) I do not believe that Thermwood ever intended or marketed the Lay...

Re: today's q-core CN update
Stuart, I assume that you work with Layered DXFs... The Control Nesting " HELP " system is usually updated with the general update. In the "updated" HELP (" ie Control Nesting Manual "), under "DXF"->"Defining Layer Names"->"Layer Names" .....

Re: pocket islands
Stuart, The answer is yes. You should be able to find the specifications in the DXF Layer section of Control Nesting 's HELP system. The following is taken from a summary document that we provide our Canadian clients. POCKET Z#p### Closed region/geometry chain which defines a pocketed area - made up...

Re: single sided material
Thomas, I would assume that the material is left as is so that there is a consistent material orientation for the operator when loading - namely "Side B Down Against the Table". If what you are asking were an option - and I think it would be a good "user selectable" option in Set...

Denis,
Just wondering... Is this for "presentation" only, required info for a cut-list or are you hoping to be able to machine it?

Re: Cut-out instead of pocket
Dan, This may or may not have anything to do with your pocketing issue but... From one of your screen captures, it looks like you are still using Control Nesting 5.93 . That version was from August of 2016 and was available prior to the latest eCabinet Systems 6.1.2/6.1.3 release. Since some of the ...

Re: Frameless Corner Cabinet with Angled Front
Nat, As I said - the programmers did an outstanding job and in this instance gave us all the "ultimate". Unfortunately, they did not add a automatic way of "dumbing it down" for a simpler look. If we do get the option, i I would imagine that it would be based on the "Mitered...
