Kerry, Everything just seems to work better for you  Want a Job? I'm using the same version and interstingly enough I had this problem originally, then it went away with an update. Now since I updated to build 2 it showed up again. What it looks like is if you print the sheets, then run them ba...

Todd,
Mine wasn't a Job File. It was a single cabinet. I have 44 of these to build for a wine store so I can't batch it or job file it (single part limit). But here's the file

Print out quality- need help

I seem to remember a while back someone had this issue and the fix was simple. Can anyone help me remember?

When I print the nesting diagrams and specifically the part detail sheets, I get red letters superimposed over black letters. It makes the diagrams completely unreadable.

Thanks!

Jeff, Absolutly you are correct. Using a different machine to cut cabinet parts only speeds up the machining process. I understand that it won't change the differential in machining processes. For example, I could go through 2 units of plywood a day cutting bookcase ends. But a maybe only 8 sheets d...

Thanks Kerry, I'll do that. But I was hoping to get a discussion going on this. I'm sure that like anything else in woodworking, somebodies using a process that really speeds things up

Cycle time Info on 45-510

I own a small cabinet shop and am putting together a package for some prospective investors on purchasing a CNC. But I'm having difficulty puting together production numbers to compute a realistic ROI. I realize there are multiple variables that effect cycle time per sheet. But if some of you who al...

That's alot of cabinets! So basically what your saying is that if you delete all the board stock and go to your system, you have to update every cabinet in the software. Including the ones already in jobs? I'm guessing that after this is done, you'll have to change textures & prices as you load ...

After I noticed this thread getting 20 posts in 2 days, I decided to close the shop and open a Custom Coffee shop instead. Send me your orders boys! At $40 a bag I can get rich alot faster with beans than boards. And the dust from ginding beans smells good!

Hey Kerry........BdFt

When you updated your Board stock, did you just input the Cost in and ignore the other fields? Also, I have jobs pending developed before 5.1. Would you advise leaving the board stock section alone until I get status on these?

Bobby, All you do is repeat the process as far as the detail room section is concerned, until you have it layed out the way you want it. But the process of developing cabinets and layouts is far more complicated to get anacceptable result. Take my suggestion about ecabs made easy. Once you go throug...

Sorry Bobby, I just read back through your post and realized I didn't answer your question. Kitchens are developed in the custom layout area. That's the Icon on the top that looks like an L shaped cabnet layout. Once there, go to wall editor & draw your walls, Then click done. Back in Cus...

Bobby, Open the software, click on the icon that looks like a single cabinet. Then right click in the work area, and click load item on the drop down menu. That will take you to the cabinet library. For now select standard cabinets, then select a cabinet (a blue line appears below the cabinet), then...

Kerry, I went back and read the thread you posted and quite frankly never noticed that you could make all these adjustments on a per item basis. But I'm having trouble getting it to work. Do you click the item in presentation mode & then make the adjustment? Or vice versa?

Thanks again!
