Re: Is there a way?
Don, You can set face frame construction and its Mortise/Tenon Setting directly from the Global Settings tab in construction settings. Is this what you asking for? FYI: Mortise/Tenon FF construction will only turn on for board stock face frame material (if the ff material is set to sheet stock, you ...

Re: Misaligned Crown molding
Leo,
If you need it for looks, then yes, your best option is a display molding. If you did not need it for looks, it is the correct size already, just positioned over by the face frame scribe.

Re: Hinge plate holes in framed cabinet
Jim, The reason you are seeing this is because your cabinet is a face framed cabinet but you are sort of wanting it to be a hybrid between face framed and frame-less. Hole patterns on a framed cabinet locate themselves from the inner openings of the face frame components. Now, when a component is re...

Re: Two piecing large parts
Jamie, Here is a new version of your cabinet with two stretchers instead of a back. I inset the top, deck, shelves, and partitions using f(x) by the thickness of the left end (since it is the same material as the back). Then, I added a stretcher from the left end to the far right partition and anoth...

Re: Partitions with 100% dado
Gentlemen, Ok, this is a metric only issue. We have discovered that the dado extension values are being applied, but are getting converted incorrectly when in metric (this is only for dados that get machined via pocketing). In your case Jeremy it is only extending by about .74mm when it should be ab...

Re: Noticed something in new build
Don, Thanks for the job, it allowed me to reproduce what you were seeing. It appears to require the items to be associated to, but not physically touching, and on the back side of the wall. We will get it on the list and get it resolved. However, for now you can simply build your wall with the build...

Re: Door/Drawer editor question
Donald,
No, the grain rotation is only for sheet stock slab doors and drawer fronts (doors or drawers saved as a slab type).

Bill, Please post a job with concise steps that will reproduce what you are seeing and we will look into it. I have tried several things and cannot reproduce it at this time. So hopefully if you get us your scenario, we can get you an answer. If you would rather not post the job here, you can send i...

Re: phantom gable
Steve, At this time we are unaware of any current issues that may cause this double part scenario. If you were to have it happen from a cabinet known to be good, please let us know your steps (or any info you can give us about it). If we can reproduce it, we can fix it. If I become aware of a path f...

Re: phantom gable
Steve, Is this the only cabinet that you see this issue with? Is this a cabinet you use a lot? I am not sure how it got this way, but viewing the internal history of this cabinet shows it goes way back to Sept 28, 2006 with Version 5.0 Bld 10. At this point I would suggest that you try to fix it or ...
