Re: Help with DXF
Oh yes almost forgot!! One can fix the problem of the removal of the centre of the letters by splitting the letters down the centre. I am not sure how it would physically machine though. If you like I will create a TWD file for you to try just give me the gross dimensions of the sign. I know it must...

Re: Help with DXF
I fixed your DXF and used it on a display panel in eCabs and generated this JPEG of the result. I hope it is clear enough. One of the immediate problems is that it removes the centre of closed letters like "O" . The other problems I had only become apparent when you actually start machinin...

Re: Help with DXF
Hi Brian. i can do the DXF for you but the last time I tried machining numbers and or letters from a DXF or a TWD there were some pretty serious cutter comp issues. The only way i got it right was to do the work in MasterCam

Re: Help with DXF
Brian do you intend machining this on a Thermwood or is this just to put in an eCabs presentation?

Re: cutting a corner cup out
Hi Jason. You should be able to check the deck depth in the cabinet editor using the measuring tool. You will not be able to nest a component wider than the sheet size in eCabs but if you are using a Thermwood you can rotate the components in Control Nesting and it will nest there. So probably best ...

Re: LDE Frustrations
Hi Lesley. I purchased a router and have been using it and eCabs for 5 years now and yes there have been some frustrations but by and large you are going to get the job done and very well.It is a really powerful system and there is really not much you can not do. You dont need the LDE to create code...

Re: Shopbot Labels
I agree Bryan, been asking for that ability for 5 years now. Was able to edit the lables with Crystal reports but who wants to buy a program that costly just to edit a few lines on a lable? Perhaps they should design things so that one could edit the lable layout in some common database application ...

Re: corner cabinet mitered backs
Jim you would create a seperate DXF for each part. I would make the backings in my eCabs drawing out of a "no machine" material so I could get the correct sizes for the DXFs. As far as my own experience is concerned I do not cut the miters on the CNC but cut the back panels oversized in th...

Re: corner cabinet mitered backs
Hi Jim
It could be done that way but would probably be simpler to do those parts as DXFs and specify the correct cutter there.

Re: Top Hinge Door's
Bryan I was referring to the example given by John, the solution of a cabinet on its side works just fine for upper level cabs
