Re: Default Flycut Values
Sorry I've been away from the shop for a couple weeks. Here's the file, looking forward to what you've got for me!
Thanks Clint!

Re: Default Flycut Values
Thanks Clint. I know we're a little odd cause we use metric by default in our shop, so I would like to get a nice round number for the flycut, like 0.3mm instead of 0.254mm.

Default Flycut Values
I was just wondering if there is a way to change the default amount that gets removed from the wasteboard during a flycut?

Re: Profile modeler
Maybe you could try drawing the model so it stops .2mm off the bottom of the pocket, then just add .2mm to the daylight value of the modelling tool at the machine.Maybe it has to do with the profile touching the bottom of the pocket

Sheet Yield affected by voids
Greetings again.
Just a heads up: sheet yield numbers become inaccurate when adding a voided area on a sheet, as shown in example below

Re: Program Timer Idea
That's fantastic, thanks Clint! Is there any way to change the feed rate that is used to calculate the sheet times in this report?

Program Timer Idea
Greetings all! I had an idea on how the program timer could be developed further... I would love to be able to request an estimated run time for a particular sheet in a job. Right now it's giving me the total run time for the entire job. Often, when we're running complex modelled doors, we do those ...

Manual nesting offals
Here's something that crops up quite often when I'm using manual nesting to move parts around. In the attached example, I've moved a few of the smaller parts to give them some additional part clearance to ensure that they don't move during cutting. For some reason, offal shapes get calculated differ...

Re: What methods do you use to hold down small parts?
Our favorite method is to use additional part clearance, and leave a skin before final outline, although I plead guilty to adhesive and nails as well. But hands? Really?? Not sure I have the guts to hold down a small part by hand with a router bit spinning at 20000RPM within a few inches of my hand.

Ramp-in location
Greetings all! Is there any way to change how the machine does ramp-ins? Currently the bit starts at a corner of the piece, then ramps in, cuts the outline, then finishes the outline up to the end of the rampin. This means that the bit gets pulled out of the material partially along an edge, leaving...

Never mind... another case of an issue not being thoroughly researched before reporting it. Disregard this thread... my foot is firmly planted in my mouth, and I'm not particularly enjoying the flavor...

Re: Modelling partially broken?
I can confirm this morning that it is the latest update to Profile Modeler that has caused the issue for us. I rolled back to v2.6, and the model turns out perfect.

Modelling partially broken?
Greetings all. Please see attached pictures. We're trying to model a 45 degree bevel on the inside of a door panel, which used to work just fine. But the exact same model that used to work is now not giving us the results we want. Seems like the ballnose bit doesn't finish the job properly, leaving ...
