Offal cut-through depth

Any reason the offal outline cuts deeper than the rest of the job? Cut through depth is set at .15mm, and all the parts obey that setting, except the offal, which cuts through at .45mm.

Optional stop

Just noticed that there is now a menu item called Optional Stop (F11) in the Maintenance>Run menu. Can anyone clarify what this is used for? Can't find any reference to it in the help file, nor do I remember seeing it before.

Control Nesting Part Placement Observations

Greetings everyone! Hope you're not getting tired of my posts... guess it's the beta tester in me that is constantly on the lookout for software improvements. Anyway... Seems to me that recently I've been seeing more unefficient part placement in Control Nesting. Or at least, I have frequently been ...

Re: label printers

This is the cheapest I've seen these but this is what I use https://quilltop.com/products/dymo-labe ... gKu3PD_BwE That is cheap! Thanks for sharing the link, we were having trouble finding this particular printer. I buy the generic labels from Online Labels.com in box qtys. What's your experience ...

label printers

Greetings all. Looking for a little input from the thermwood community on this one. So every once in a while, our Dymo Labelwriter 450 printers quit printing properly, for example, the print head seems to develop a dead spot, and then you get this strip on the label where nothing prints. We've repla...

CN 7.0.1

CN 7.0.1 broke something about profile modeler. Doesn't obey custom tool settings anymore, just uses the default tool group that is set in profile modeler. Problem is fixed as soon as I revert to CN 7.0.

Re: Bug Report: Sheet Images

I saw the release notes said that the issue was fixed, so I went to try it out, and while it is still not perfect, it is a huge improvement. At least the sheets are readable now. Some of the lines are not quite aligned properly, or don't quite draw correctly, but WAY better than it was.

Re: Bug Report: Sheet Images

Turns out my assessment of the criteria needed to replicate the issue was not quite correct. Strictly moving parts around on a sheet works perfectly fine. However, the problem DOES occur when moving parts between sheets. See images below. before.JPG In the above image, I nested three doors onto one ...

Bug Report: Sheet Images

Been noticing this for quite some time already, but with the new update bringing sheet images more to the forefront, I thought it might be time to mention it. Whenever I nest parts that include modeling, (mdf modeled doors for example) and I use manual nesting to move the parts around, the resulting...

Re: thinking out loud

How we approach it now, I don't let the machine perform the through-cut, and skip ahead to the outline. Then re-cut the sheet, and manually skip ahead in the program to the through-cut. Not sure how to explain it exactly, but in my mind it makes a lot more sense to cut the pocket last. It's kinda li...

thinking out loud

Some features/updates I would smile about. 1. Ability to run through-cut pockets after outline. Would be useful in the scenario where the part is a 2-inch wide frame, for example. If the pocket is cut first, that leaves the frame with very little surface area for the vacuum to hold it down effective...

Tweak the Tool Measurement Code

Greetings! Just curious if there is any way of being able to tweak the feed speed during the tool measurement process, other than using the feed rate selector? I'd like to be able to input custom feed speeds for the final portion of the process, the "drop Z in fine increments". We've found...
